This review is from: Greening School Grounds: Creating Habitats for Learning (Green Teacher) (Paperback)
Tim Grant and Gail Littlejohn effectively collaborate to draw from the pages of "Green Teacher" an outstanding anthology of twenty-three articles showcasing K-12 strategies for renewing and enhancing a physical environment conducive to children's learning processes and attitudes in Greening School Grounds: Creating Habitats For Learning. More than just a collective overview, the contributors offer a wealth of ideas and examples dealing with a wide range of projects including vegetable and butterfly gardens to an amphibian oasis and avian attractors. There are curriculum tie-ins, activities, and lists of resources. Greening School Grounds is especially recommended to PTA members, school boards, school administrative personnel, classroom instructors, and anyone with an interest in regard to improving the environmental quality of a private, parochial, or public school curriculums.
