I think this will end up being a "back up".
Jason Cox
This bit bent and twisted right at the bottom of the shank the first time I used it.

Can you believe the tail end of the bit actually bent!?

The shank is way too small and bent on the first tough knot it snagged on a Pine stud. It cuts great but the shank needs to be 3/8" or larger. Greenlee used to be better than this.

This sucker requires a lot of power to get through pine. Once it gets in the threaded end makes it bite deep, and it takes a lot to make it keep cutting. The cutting edge isn't that sharp, so that may be part of the problem. It doesn't clear out chips easily, and it's a pain to back out of the hole if it isn't all the way through. It won't get through nails. The only drill I could get this to work well with was a Dewalt 18V, or corded. An impact driver will make it work too. The drive shaft is pretty thin and I'm expecting it to break. I think this will end up being a "back up".

Snapped off at the base of the bit after maybe 10 holes. Now I know why it was so cheap, crap steel.

This is a great bit for occasional use and the price. I have a feeling it would disappoint an electrician, but is a huge improvement over a spade bit. I will likely purchase more bits from this series in different sizes.
