My trimmer arrived on Friday, much earlier than I expected it to, and a soon as possible I had it open and was using it.
I've never used a trimmer, but from the time I opened the box to use was maybe 5 minutes. It would have been less, but I did want to check the instructions for safety tips. The trimmer is light. I was able to hold it up at eye level for several minutes to trim a large hedge. It cuts small branches like a knife going through soft butter. By small I mean finger sized. The largest branch I tried the trimmer on was about the diameter of my thumb. The trimmer didn't like that, but did go through. I used heavy duty manual trimmers for larger branches.

I ordered this trimmer for 2 reasons, first it is electric and second it's light weight. I am very happy with this selection. Out of box and plugged in and off I went, trimming overgrown hedges. I was really surprised how well this trimmer cut right though thick branches. This was a real plus that I was not expecting. I would definitely recommend this trimmer to anyone.

This was my first Greenworks product, so I wasn't sure what to expect. This trimmer turned out great though. It trimmed all of my bushes with ease and looked good doing it. I liked it so much I bought their Model#24072 blower/vacuum. Buy with confidence. It is an excellent product and price.

I bought this last summer (2011) for trimming yard bushes/shrubs pre-freeze. This included a couple of "nasty," tough, thorny weigelas and an old row of lilacs. It took less time than the cleanup (raking and hauling away). My old method was with scissor-type and lopping shears. This tool falls into my personal "should-have-had-long-ago" category. It breezed through the weigelas. The lilacs were a bit slower but it handled them IF fed slowly (up to 3/4" dia.). Seems to have plenty of power. Watching the cord is VITAL! I highly recommend it. Looking forward to spring and summer trimming of my forsythia bush. :D

I'm happy with the product. The 4.0 amp motor gives plenty of power to cut through any limbs that will fit in the dual action blade. I notice that the blade mechanism is a little noisy, sounding like it needs oil (it doesn't) which gives me the feeling that it is less quality than other brands I've used. It really isn't, in fact it works as good or better and I'm a happy customer.

The Greenworks 22 inch trimmer made short work of a hedge I let get out of hand. It cut it down to size with little effort on my part. Really happy with the results.
