The first lawn mower I bought was the Gardena hand push lawn mower. Nice German built machine and it is still functioning well. It has two plastic gears which failed and I had to "rebuild" them because dispite the warrenty, I had to ship this heavy machine back to the factory to get two plastic gears replaced. That's the only complain I have on that machine.

You can probably tell by now I try to stay green when it comes to lawn mower. Yes, the hand push mower does work! The reason I broke that machine was because I got lazy sometimes so the long grass would "overload" the machine. I needed something stronger.

So I looked into an electric lawn mower. I did my homework and found many of them are somewhat flimsy. When I found this machine by GreenWorks, they sort of remind me of my Dyson vacuum cleaner in many ways after going to their website. GreenWorks only do "green" lawn machines. Then when I read more, they offer a LONG 4 YEAR WARRANTY. So I took a chance with this fairly new company. And it was a good decision.

About the machine, a lot of thoughts went into beefing up things that can break. The wheels are sturdy, the latches are thick pieces of plastic, and the machine does have a fairly well-built feel. The machine is quiet and I think it will definitely last 4 years. This one is not powered by a battery, so a long extension cord will get me to the far corner of my lawn. And I don't have to remember to charge the battery before use or keep charing it to maintain it or worry about recycling the battery when it is degraded. Overall, I think this machien does the job well.

This mower is very easy to put together out of the box. I love adjusting all four wheels with only one handle. So easy. I would say this is very easy to push, much lighter than my small power mower I used to use. I can even push this electric mower with one hand without a problem. Like someone told me, if you can vacuum a floor you can use an electric lawn mower. And they were true. The electric cord was not a problem at all to me. Great warranty of 4 years also. None of the other's I have seen have this warranty. Don't miss the spark plugs, oil, gas, and headaches at all. You will not be disappointed with this mower.

I bought this mower recently and it was delivered right to my door by UPS. It was easy to finish assembling and since I already had a cord, I went right out and mowed. No more difficult to use than a vacuum cleaner. It did a fine job cutting even though this was the first cut of the season, and it rained heavily yesterday. Height adjusts with one easily changed lever. Lighter weight than my last mower which took gasoline. Quieter too. Very happy buyer.

I mow down, and it exceeded my expectations. Had no issues with 4" high grass and weeds. Revs slowed a little in the thickest grass, but so did my old 5.5hp gas mower. No real assembly. Feels solid.

I love it. I have a small lawn, but it's somewhat hilly. The lawnmower starts right up, no fuel to worry about, and is light weight. I actually think that this would also do fine with a larger lawn too. With the exception of the handle, the mower came fully assembled. For the price, you cannot go wrong - I could not find anything cheaper in the stores. Very happy.

After having our grass cut professionally for 2 years, our grass guy quit suddenly leaving us scrambling for a replacement. It was then my husband and I decided to go green since we had an electric lawn mower before. Our grass was exceptionally tall, concern that it couldn't handle it proved me wrong. I cut the grass myself, though I had to go over it twice because of the length was no match for that mower. "You go Greenworks!" That mower cut that grass and now I am so proud, not only of myself but that lawn mower. Now I'm cutting on a regular basis.....yeah greenworks....

I bought this mower for my small fenced in backyard. The power cord can get annoying, but that's the only con. The mower is easy to operate, very lightweight, and not difficult to push at all.

Recently bought this mower to replace our old electric one that had died...needed something on the cheaper side since our landlords were actually buying it for us. Very easy assembly, all you really need to do is attach the handle and it's ready to go. There were a couple rust spots on the handle oddly enough, but that's not a huge deal. It's worked quite nicely so far, not too loud and easy to push around. It is, however, a bit heavy though...it really is the 50lbs or so it says in the shipping weight. Overall, seems to be a good mower for the price.

I just received my Greenworks 12 Amp mower last night. It was well packaged and already put together, you just have to attach the handle. It is a sturdy, well built mower. This morning I took it out back, and started it up. It works as well as my old briggs & straten gas guzzler! It is more powerful than I expected! Easy, lightweight!
I am not used to dragging a cord and so that was a slight irritant, but well worth the trade off. (Of course I ran over the cord once) But I'll get used to that soon enough.
In any event, I would highly recommend this mower! I loved the price, but really appreciated the 4 year warranty, not that anything this well built will need it, but it is peace of mind. I'm very happy with this purchase (NO MORE SMELLY GAS, no more spark plugs, oil changes, etc) Oh yes, and I should mention the handle that raises and lowers the wheels, it's great! One handle and your up or down for all four wheels at the same time! Mowing is almost fun!

UPDATE (7-19-11): I mowed the grass again this morning with this mower. It was a breeze. It went through 6 to 8 inch tall grass that was somewhat damp from the morning dew like a champ. Easy to lift into our back porch. This was a good deal!

Received this, my first electric lawnmower right on time. Assembly was plenty simple enough. Yard was grown up and kind of thick in several spots, but it cut right through it without a problem. Cord, as I figured was a bit of a hastle, but really had very little problem there. Mower is so lightweight, pushes effortlessly and cuts as well as any gas mower I have ever owned. I love the push button start and the quiet running electric motor. I would reccommend this to anyone who doesn't have a large yard area to cut and doesn't mind flipping a cord around a little.
