The click5 is ~~awesome~~!,
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Greetings From Imrie House (Audio CD)
this CD is so awesome. ive been listening to it nonstop since it came out! the songs dont sound like backstreet boys or nysync at all- just listen to like "bye bye bye" (nsnyc) and then listen to "good day" (click5) or even a song with the title "Pop princess" (click5) and they dont sound alike at all
heres what i think of the songs (btw- im 16, not under 13) 1. Good Day- 5/5 this song is one of the best. it sounds kinda like "just the girl" 2. Just the Girl- 5/5 the song that made them famous! this is their first single and it was wrote by fountains of wayne. 3. Catch your Wave- 5/5 i guarantee you that the chorus will get stuck in your head! its addictive! i luv this song! 4. I'll take my chances- 2/5 slow song but it just doesnt go with the cd. i dont care for the lyrics. least fav song on the album 5. Friday Night- 4/5 good, but i dont like the constant repeating of the high pitched "its friday night" like 20 times each time the chorus comes around 6.Angel to you (devil to me)- 4/5 another good song but it doesnt have any meaning to it 7.Resign- 5/5 one of my favorites! its slower than "good day" but faster than "ill take my chances". it is a really sweet song. i love when Eric Dill, the lead singer, hits those high notes! 8. pop princess- 5/5 strangely addictive... but dont think its a bubblegum pop song due to the title, its not. 9. time machine- 4/5 i hate the beginning and it has really weird lyrics (i need to unwind in my time machine?) but i like the chorus while i dislike the lyrics. it gets stuck in my head 10. lies- 5/5 good song. i think its a remake. it sounds like a older song from the 80's. but i like it 11. Say goodbye- 5/5!!! my fav song! its slow but its so sweet. overall- definately worth buying if you like pop. otherwise you'll complain about it being too poppy. enjoy!

Not a boy band by any means!,
By
This review is from: Greetings From Imrie House (Audio CD)
I wanted to differentiate these guys from the 'boy band' label they seem to be getting. Their tour pairings are not indicative at all of what this band is about. Too bad they might get lumped into that group of 'artists'. On the other hand, if it means they will get exposure, then that part is good. Not many boy bands play their own instruments, writes most of the songs on their CD, went to The Berkley school of music, & have the backing of respected musicians from Kiss (Paul Stanley), Fountains of Wayne (Adam Schlesenger), & The Cars (Elliott Easton). I can't think of any in fact. To be clear, this is no boy band. These guys are a lighter version of Power Pop. Think Fountains of Wayne's song "Stacy's Mom" & you'll be right on the money to their sound. Think The Cars, think Rick Springfield, think Swirl 360, think The Tories, think The Posies & then add a little more sugar & you get The Click Five.
Seriously though, for those that like more bubbly happy tunes ala "Stacy's Mom", this is the CD for you. It's a CD packed full of HOOKS & more HOOKS with thick harmony & power chord guitar riffs (think Jesse's Girl by Rick Springfield) galore. Throw in original material, one cover, one Paul Stanley tune & two Adam Schlesinger tunes, and you have one catchy CD that is sure to please most harmony hungry power pop fans. Is this the next coming of The Beatles or the 90's Jellyfish? No, but it sure is a catchy collection of radio friendly tunes that'll have you singing in the shower and car. It's summer fun at it's best. Not very deep, but infecious & catchy doesn't need to be. These are fine musicians schooled at one of the best music schools in the country serving up sugary sweet tunes that have FUN written all over them.

Catch This Wave,
This review is from: Greetings From Imrie House (Audio CD)
1. Good Day-3:09-10/10: Great opening song. Very upbeat song, good to listen to at the start of the day. Great guitar solo after the bridge. "You're looking for something you can't find/If you give it up you'll lose your mind..."
2. Just The Girl-3:54-10/10: 1st single, great to bob your head to while your driving in the car. This CD is enhanced with the video and behind the scenes of the video. The song talks about a guy who is interested in this girl, but the girl is cruel to him, yet he likes her anyways. 3. Catch Your Wave-2:52-10/10: Another great upbeat song. I can really see this song or "Good Day" being the next single. "Hey girl, i wanna catch your wave/Hey Girl, i wanna drift away with you..." 4. I'll Take My Chances-3:49-7/10: Not really into this song. It's the slowest song on the cd and it kind of gets repetitive with the "ooooo, baby i'll take my chances with you." But it's not all bad. The 3rd verse is good and the guitar solo after is great. 5. Friday Night-3:31-10/10: This has a cool begining and great verses. Great song to dance to. It's got some funny lyrics like "The price is right/I'm Bob Barker".Overall, a really good song. A really good guitar solo that kind of reminds me of "Good Day". It also has a cool ending. 6. Angel To You (Devil To Me)-3:29-10/10: This is a song about a guy telling another guy about this girl who may seem sweet, but is actually a wild chick. Again, another wild guitar solo. "Well she's hotter then hell/and she's cool as they come/and she's smart and she's wild all rolled into one..." 7. Resign-3:06-9/10: Another upbeat song, though one point off for repetitiveness. The verses sound good. "Resign/Resign/Those wondrin' eyes/and wake up to my love tonight". 8. Pop Princess-4:18-10/10: The pre-chorus and chorus in this song are great. The song is about a regular guy in love with a famous girl. The music after the bridge is cool and this song is very danceable. "Pop princess make me smile/Pop Princess drive me wild/Pop Princess i need you now/So baby turn your love up loud..." 9. Time Machine-3:14-9/10: Great violins in the begining. I like how in the begining it starts off soft with an acoustic guitar, then picks up with an electric guitar. The chorus is really well written. "I think i need some time/By myself/Without anybody else/I just need to unwind/In my time machine..." 10. Lies-2:58-10/10: Great 80's sounding begining. This song was featured on soundtrack for the Disney movie "Sky High". I like the sound effects used, like after they say "The bigger the better/Some stolen from Japan", and after "Cleopatra died for Egypt/What a waste of time". Very upbeat and catchy. 11. Say Goodnight-4:50-10/10: Great album closer. It's not a slow song, yet not an upbeat song. It talk about leaving someone and breaking up, but instead of saying goodbye, say goodnight. After the last line, there is about a minute and a half of great ending music. Overall: 10/10 This is a good album that's 80's influenced. It has some great dance songs (Friday Night, Lies, Pop Princess), some slow songs (Say Goodnight, I'll Take My Chances) and some that's fun to sing along to (Every single song). Pick up this album, you won't be dissapointed.
