Every part of the country has it's own place that is special to some generation. If you lived in northern New Jersey before 1980 you may have had the experience of going to Betrand Island Amusement Park on the shores of Lake Hopatcong. While it didn't have the size or glamour of Palasades Park in Fort Lee or the smaller Olympic Park in Maplewood NJ, Bertrand Island was a wonderful place where I spent hundreds of hours. This video is high quality and very well narrated and edited and traces the amusement parks entire history from day one till it closed offically in 1983. It includes great footage through the years and is a great piece of nostalgia for anyone who was ever there.
Note: This DVD is the same as the VHS version that was available in the 90's. The quality of the transfer is very good and includes a few new items as "extras" in the form of pictures of memorabilia (tickets, buttons, post cards etc.)

If you had ever been there and have memories of this place, then this DVD is excellent- really enjoyed it!
