Editorial Reviews

Review

“…a glimpse into Lynn’s methods and theories, as well as a study of his career.” ~Ocean Drive

“The book not only showcases the work of the contemporary architect’s firm, but it also includes contribution from theorists, artists and social commentators. It features photographic contribution from Ari Marcopoulos, a series of “maps” by Imaginary Forces and a complete catalog of work of Greg Lynn’s studio.” ~Create Magazine

in the first second of my interaction with this book , i new i would be brought into a journey
of not only amazing form but a sensuous interaction ( the layer of the book is from a textile that is very original)
there is plenty of pictures depicting his processes and the articles are clear and brings a good notion of his
foundamental belief of architecture which he has put in this folowing order 1-structure 2-massing 3-apertures 4-color 5-geometry 6-families -7-medium 8-robots 9-fictions plus a list and picture of all of his projects.

I suspect that if you are here looking at this book, you will like it. You probably know who Greg Lynn is, and generally what to expect. So I don't imagine anyone here needs to be discouraged/encouraged, but if you are thinking about purchasing it, just go for it already! A side note, while my copy is probably a fluke, I was actually really happy to get a book that had some mistakes. Some pages weren't cut properly, and one of the black pages was folded over, so it still had all of the printers marks on it. It makes the book a little more special in my eye. A little imperfection, a little process....
