An apt title,
This review is from: Greg Moore: A Legacy of Spirit (Hardcover)
Anyone who is a fan of CART racing will know the exuberance and energy that Greg Moore displayed in every aspect of his life, both professionally and personally. His natural love of life came through in everything that he did, and no where is that displayed more than in this book. From his very humble and amusing beginnings driving around his dad's car yard, through to the memories that he left the racing world with, this book is a wonderful tribute by family and friends, that will leave any fan with the feeling that somehow, we all know him a little better. This is such an uplifting, heartwarming and informative book, written with a sense of pride that can only come from those that knew him best. I would certainly recommend it for any of Greg's fans, as well as lovers of CART in general. A real credit to all the people invoved in the writing.

Greg was not only a wondeful human being but he was also an extremely talented race car driver that was taken away from us much to quickly. This book will give you the inside look at Greg's humor, racing career and family. It will leave you with many smiles and a few tears.

Man, when I saw this book I thought "It must be great!" And when I had it on my hands it was even more perfect. For those fans who lost their idol there at Fontana, this is a must. It's the perfect book for a great driver and an even greater person.

The book chronicling Greg Moores life was simply amazing. If you follow CART racing you are probably familiar with Greg. I thought I was and the book with detailed stories, personal photos along with behind the scenes stories detailing Gregs rise to stardom in the CART series was simply moving and very well put together. The photos in the book are simply incredible- on track, personal and childhood photos. Greg is sorely missed but the book will help to ensure his memory. The title: Greg Moore: A Legacy Of Spirit simply says it all, and should be a must own, not just for the Greg Moore fan, but for any racing fan!

When you combine the writing skills of Gordon Kirby and the legend of Greg Moore you get an outstanding book. There must be some really great racing going on in heaven. Although no book could do justice to Greg's life, this book comes close. I love everything that Gordon writes and this book is one of the most highly prized. This book is mandatory for any true Cart fan.

Worthy tribute for motorsport hero in the making: Greg Moore,

This review is from: Greg Moore: A Legacy of Spirit (Hardcover)
This book about the young Canadian motorsport icon honours the life of one of the most cheerful and passionate drivers in CART racing. As a fellow Canadian, I have been well-informed about the young Maple Ridge, B.C. native and have enjoyed watching him climb to the top of the victory podium. A terrific biography of Greg Moore has been collected in a very indept account told by his beloved family through pictures and excerpts. Excellent pictures tell the journey that Greg Moore had taken from his first encounter with a motorized vehicle to the 1999 season where he drove the 800-plus horsepower Players champ racing machine. It is hard to believe after looking at this book that a young Canadian who was taken from this earth all too soon could live such a full life. |
