Simply drill 2 large lag bolts directly into a stud, and use drywall screws for the other 2 holes and you're good to go.

You can go to Home Depot and they'll cut an NTP pipe to any length you want in order to hang your projector from.

Held my Sim2 projector steady even during the heaviest of subwoofer scenes. Tip, use some rubber washers when using whatever universal mount you have that connects to your PJ to further isolate any possible vibrations to the projector/projected image.

Did the job and was very inexpensive. It has a fairly small profile and got easily attached to the ceiling. It would be nice to have some cable management, but for the money, I wouldn't expect anything else.

I just received this ceiling plate last week and installed it over the weekend. It is very solid (cast aluminum, not iron) and mounted easily. I would have paid a few bucks more and rated it 5 stars if it came with mounting hardware (screws, anchors, etc), especially if they were also black. The 4 mounting holes are quite large and require using a couple of washers unless you're using humongous lag screws to mount it.
