One of the best old-time fiddle players, ever!, July 13, 2011

Highly recommended collection of recordings for an old-time enthusiast. The recordings were transferred from old LPs, and have a 'weathered' sound all around. The fiddle playing is amazing and I'm so entranced that I hardly notice the hissing on some of the tracks. If you really appreciate the old-time fiddle of West Virginia and Kentucky, buy this record, put on some headphones and soak it up. It's really good.
