First of all, if you're not addicted to Grey's already, it's time for you to get that way.
Go watch all of the previous seasons. They're on Amazon Instant or Netflix.
You'll have plenty of time to catch up before this September release.

If you like love, friendship, heart-warming and heart-breaking stories with drama here and they're, it's for you.

This season is full of all those elements that make Grey's, Grey's. Along with fighting to save each and every unique patient that steps through Seattle Grace's doors, the residents (towards the end of the season) are stressfully fighting to pass their boards. When all seems well and good, it was time for the season's end.

And it sure ended with a bang.

Your favorite doctors are put in a traumatic situation unlike their everyday trauma.
They are the victims. They are holding on for dear life.

Just like every season, we'll all be waiting on pins and needles to finish this cliffhanger.
Worth the wait. Only a few more months.

Season 7 lacked the typical "Grey's Drama" we all love but I guess Shonda realized what the fans really desire and gave us an excellent Season 8.
Meredith and Derek's relationship was strained towards the beginning of the season but Derek eventually forgave Meredith and we saw them as a happy family throughout the season with cute baby Zola.
The season opener saw Cristina having an abortion, personally, I support Cristina's decision. She just doesn't want to be a mother and Owen knew that before getting into the relationship. Speaking of Owen, cheating on Cristina to spite her was understandable but not forgivable. The whole CrOwen storyline was beautifully written and acted.
Lexie... umm... nothing much to say here. She did nothing major this season but Chyler Leigh killed it in the finale with an amazing performance. Farewell, Lexie. You'll be missed.
Teddy's world was turned upside down with Henry's death. We all knew it would eventually happen but it was too soon. With Henry gone, we saw Teddy grieve and take her anger out on Owen. Kim Raver too was a powerhouse this season delivering a splendid performance as the grieving widow.
CalZona were not seen much this season except the Valentine's Special episode which reminded us why we love these pretty ladies and also seeing Arizona's childhood friend towards the end of the season gave us a nice insight into her past. After getting all the attention in season 7, I guess the writers decided to put them in the backseat this season, which is fair enough.
Richard went through hell seeing Adele disappear right before his eyes. Adele's storyline was heartbreaking! Loretta Devine deserves another Emmy. Sadly, Adele's end is not very far.

The first half of the last few seasons I have really not cared about the characters; the emotional connection just was not there. What drew me back in was the last half of the season. Well, this season, the disconnection is even worse. They are blatantly repeating medical conditions. Terratoma was a medical condition the first season and was repeated again this season. The inoperable brain tumors are getting old. I miss the happy IZZY and the quirky GEORGE. I wonder why the casting staff didn't try to find another quirky person and happy person to fill the gap. April is quirky and happy but just too annoying. McSteamy has a boring personality. Torres and her lover are boring. Grey and McDreamy are annoying. They should have kept McSteamy's 19 year old daughter on the show; she brought much needed diversity to the show. Webber and Bailey are the best characters on the show. They really should have given Bailey some friends outside of the hospital to further develop her character. Webber and Adele are a wonderful storyline, wish they would show them more.

Lexie got relegated to the back burner when she and Jackson stopped dating. Jackson's eyes are wonderful, but he is otherwise a boring and uninteresting character on the show.

What is this season about? Amanda is now dating the anesthesiologist again after breaking up with the FWB male nurse. Torres and her lover are gushing over each other and the baby. McSteamy is dating Julia and pining over Lexie. Lexie is dating no one and pining over McSteamy. Grey and McDreamy were having marital woes and now they are blissfully happy with their black baby. Krev is not really with anybody; he is focused on fellowships and pedes. Christina and Owen are having sex and marital woes.

SPOILER ALERT!! DO NOT READ ON IF YOU HAVENT SEEN IT!
(I wont spell it out for you but I do infer events)

Knowing who dies at the end, who leaves "Seattle Grace Mercy Death Hospital", now that I have caught up and watched it all, is depressing and sad and seriously makes me wonder what could possible happen in Season 9 that would make me want to keep watching this show. But that said, this season may contain the last great episode ever to be filmed for the entire series.
My favorite two people on this show leave, my third favorite person leaves and my top 3 otehrs are forever altered. The season 8 in its entirety is as good as any of the other top seasons like 1, 2 and 5, and has its fair share of soap opera drama. It has the token catastrophe we have come to expect from Shonda and there is enough blood and guts to keep the husbands from prying the remote from our hands but seriously, SERIOUSLY Shonda, how many more of our beloved characters must die, I mean be allowed out of their contracts before we quit watching? Eventually it will have to be changed to "Seattle Hospital Drama - The Replacements"
I have just watched the first 2 episodes of season 9 and they went nowhere near what I was expecting visually or emotionally. I am used to better from Miss Shonda. So if you love the series like I do, own all 8 seasons on dvd, even the bad ones.....a musical? Seriously? SERIOUSLY? Then I highly recommend this one because it could be the last one you ever have any interest in. And at least there is some sex, blood, guts and beloved doctors.
