Book Description

Within 24-72 hours after a death, over 100 decisions must be made. Because you are dealing with a subject that you are uncomfortable and unfamiliar with, coupled with the many emotions of grief, this can be a difficult time. What questions should you ask? What are your options? Are these feelings of shock, anger, and guilt normal? The many expressions of condolences you receive, although intended to help, may be hurtful, such as “I understand how you feel.”

What happens after the services are over, family and friends have returned home, telephone rings have ceased, the house is quiet, and reality sets in? What do you do now? Is it possible to really transform your life from grief to a place of gratitude?

Statistics say that is takes 5-8 years to recover from the death of a loved one. Dora Carpenter says that it doesn’t have to take that long. In this book, she shares tips, information, and exercises to help you through the first 24-72 hours following a death… and beyond. Dora worked over 10 years in the death care industry and assisted hundreds of families making burial arrangements for loved ones. She is a Certified Grief Coach, Certified Life Coach, and Licensed Trainer, Feel the Fear and Do It Anyway®.

Whether you are experiencing the death of a loved one; assisting a family member or friend who has had a loss; or, want to gather the information they don’t teach in school so you are informed when a death occurs, The Grief to Gratitude Blueprint will benefit you. This book should be on every household bookshelf.

If you've ever faced sudden unexpected death in your family this read will certainly help to guide you about what to do and what to expect. It is a must read especially for those with aging parents or sick family members. It helps to erase some of the unknown about what to expect when dealing with the end of life for anyone and it is unfortunately something we all must deal with at some point in our lives.
