This book is a very insightful guide which would be helpful for anyone who has ever suffered a loss of a loved one. This is a very comprehensive approach to understanding and dealing with the entire process of grieving, from recognizing and accepting the stages and effects to putting a program together to manage and cope with it. Included are recommended techniques and activities designed to keep the reader centered and moving in a positive direction throughout the process, dealing with the psychological, physiological, social, and spiritual aspects of grieving, including making plans into the future. What I like about this book is that it encourages the reader to take a proactive approach to take on the grieving process and maintain control, as opposed to being a victim of it like so many do too often. I believe this book would be a very helpful asset to anyone who has ever endured the pain of loss.

In my opinion, this book is recommended for people who really are not sure of where start healing from grief. As someone who experienced it previously, I found it to contain information that mostly everyone already knows. That is not to say that the book isn't good. There are passages of it that made me think twice of how I view grief as such a negative part of my life and avoid it at all costs. My favorite part of the book however is regarding habits and routine, changing your daily life, which is something we not always think about when talking about grief. Overall, I found it a reliable source of information and comfort especially for people who need immediate support.

Personally I have been through a lot and this book helped out a great deal. The activities that they give you to help relax your mind and your body are great. It explains how your mind deals with grief and also pushes the reader to become active in the healing process. This book also keeps the reader on a positive track, and explains that everyone has to deal with grief differently. I took some very helpful advice from this book, and I would recommend this book to anyone who has dealt with the loss of someone special to them.

I thought this book had some good tools for handling grief. It covered everything from accepting your feelings to moving on. I especially found the part about setting up a routine and such really helpful. I was given this book for free and it has helped me deal with a loss of my own that I’ve been struggling a bit with. It was easy to get through and wasn’t too heavy, and yet hit all the bases. I’d definitely recommend it.

I personally enjoyed this ebook and it helped me to grasp a better understanding for grief healing techniques. My mother-in-law passed away about 6 years ago and even though I was dealing with it in my own way, I felt like I needed to be strong for my children (who were all very young at that time) as well as my husband. He was dealing with it extremely hard and went through a minor depression about 2 years later because of it. Reading this eBook opened my eyes as to how he was dealing with his grief and about how I was as well. I had masked mine so well that it was building up inside of me and I didn't even realize it until reading this. My husband was able to come out of his depression but I would have loved to have been able to give him this eBook to read at that time. Because grief and depression can come up at any time, this is an extremely valuable eBook to have on my Kindle for when/if it ever shows up again.

There are 7 chapters, each leading you through the grief healing process and helps you to understand that you are not alone. An easy read and very comforting. I would recommend these techniques to anyone dealing with any kind of grief. I was sent this eBook for review purposes.

If you're breathing, you've experienced loss. And, unfortunately, no one teaches you how to deal with the grief that comes along with that loss.
Loss is a normal part of life but getting through it is still treated as a mystical process. There is no real information or understanding of how people grieve outside of self help books. This means that you can be left feeling like you don't know what is going on inside your head. Anger, sadness, stomach ache, fatigue, confusion... all these and more are part of the grieving process but can be mistaken for other problems. In Grief Healing Techniques, you'll learn how to identify, recognize, and process all kinds of feeling and symptoms tied to your loss.
Starting with Ten Myths and Misconceptions about Grief, Grief Healing is seven chapters of ways to accept, cope, and heal.
I like that this book isn't so much about getting over the grief as it is about learning to live while you work through it in your own time There is no set timeline to "be OK" but you do need to be able to live life and carry on during the process.

I received a free copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.

Grief is very complex, and how everyone handles it is different. I find this book offers helpful and practical information for walking through the process of grief healing. I think it would be particularly helpful for those who recently lost a loved one and are having a hard time coping. Some of the information is basic, but I think when you're in the thick of the grieving process, you need to learn the basic information all over again.

What I love most about this book is that it offers helpful advice not only for dealing with grief but for actually walking through it and moving forward. It acknowledges that grief is a process that can't just be skipped over but must be worked through.
