Interview with Jan Luther, author of "Grief is Mourning Sickness",

This interview will be posted on smoothchanges.podomatic.com
by Baerbel Froehlin, EFT ADV. Expert Practitioner, Life Coach and Hypnotherapist of smoothchanges.com. This Radio Show is bringing live EFT sessions to people in need for healing. Grief is a huge experience for everybody. After reading her book I wanted to ask Jan specifically about her own experience of the process of grieving. As she talks in detail about the motivation to write this book the listener gets to know her, understands and feels with her as she talks about the time her own son was killed in a car accident. She describes how she survived this tragedy by using EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques). I very much like the way Jan Luther empowers all people who read her book. The way she suggests readers start using EFT from the moment grief enters their life is comforting. The book speaks to all people and I especially like that it can be used by anybody in a grief situation, without necessarily having to work with a therapist. Self-Help in the true sense!

Essential reading for anyone who has experienced loss,

This review is from: Grief Is...Mourning Sickness (Paperback)
I lost my father a while back and I wish I'd had this book at that time. The book gives a comprehensive review of what happens with grief.
I especially liked the discussion of psychological reversal. I can see how psychological reversal is playing a role in other parts of my life. The EFT tapping scripts are excellent! Like many others, I have experienced great financial loss in recent times. I have used these scripts to help clear the negative emotions associated with those losses. As a result, I feel much less stressed out about my financial situation.

This book was just okay. I was looking for more comfort. This book isn't very deep. But it would be a good book for someone who has never really been through grief before.

I appreciate the author's friendly tone. I got the feeling she wants to reach out and help all people needing to process grief as well as those with grieving loved ones who need to know how best to help them. The insights and practical tools offered really do work. A pretty quick read in large easy to read print. I'm very glad I read it and would love to have a case of these to give to friends and relatives who have lost a loved one.
