WOW, What a surprise of Great Blues Rock!,

I've been collecting alot of Blues type Rock and I have to say this is one great cd. It is a mix of Texas style Blues and Louisiana style blues. The best part is that it sounds original. It doesn't sound like anything else, Great guitar, great vocals, great bass and drums. I want to thank CDNow/Amazon for putting in the free mp3 songs to listen to. Once I heard these, I immediately bought the cd. Check out the songs and get the cd. Every song is excellent. I can't wait for the next cd. If you like any of these bands then check out Griff Hamlin Band: Chris Aaron band, Joe Bonamassa, Buddaheads, Sky High, Gov't Mule, Tab Benoit, Sonny Landreth, etc.

SUPERB ELECTRIC BLUES / ROCK,

If you like your BLUES in the vain of SRV or GARY MOORE, than this is a must have. HAMLIN captures the essence of SRV without copying him. He is explosive on the guitar and is up there with the best for powerful playing. There are enough original touches to give HAMLIN a presence all his own. Most of the songs are also excellent and there are only a couple of moments when he leans too heavily on well worn BLUES cliches.But there is always the guitar and his playing makes up for any shortcomings you might discover. LOVE THE BLUES - LOVE THE GUITAR - BUY IT!!!! |
