Terrible. Get a cheap silicone case instead.,
This review is from: Griffin 8051-5GARMB Tempo Sport Armband for iPod Video (Electronics)
A hearty recommendation NOT to get the Griffin Tempo Armband for iPod Video.
It couldn't be further from what I wanted, other than being an armband. The neoprene is too stetchy on the armband, the velcro pads are poorly spaced, while the opening is way too tight considering the loose fit over the iPod once you manage to get it in. Yes, on the first try I oystered my never-used iPod across the room onto a hardwood floor. The stitching holding the plastic face to the neoprene and trim is abrasive (my Best Skins Ever skin is already being forcibly peeled off at the edges). The plastic over the face of the iPod is thick, but flexible. Because it's stitched to neoprene, the result is that it is wavy. It covers not only the screen but the clickwheel too. It makes using the wheel almost impossible, and the glare (reflected from the irregular surface) while watching videos on screen is unbearable. Oh, and there is no hole to access the dock connector, so I have to squeeze the iPod out of this case and back in every night when I sync it. This just may be the worst $25 I've ever spent.

waiting for it to break so I can replace,

Very very tight. I am afraid my iPod will fly across the room when inserting it. There is no way to charge the iPod while its in the armband. To insert it I have to put the iPod in sideways and twist it after I squeezed it half way in. Due to this I have a bend mark in the clear plastic in front. It hasn't broken yet and it is very inexpensive and cheaply made. So if you want something to get you by until you find the perfect one go for it... but there are better ones out there.

Great Product, a bit difficult to get in the IPOD,

It works great, and protects the IPOD very well, the only problems is to put in and take out the IPOD, because you have to take it out of the rubber skin, and it is a bit tedious process.

Works for Intended Purpose,

This case does work for what I wanted--something to hold and protect my 80gb iPod video while I ran.
While not very feminine, I sweat a lot, so it's important I have something that fully covers my iPod while working out, which ruled out anything that exposed the wheel. The clear, plastic cover does make it possible to operate the iPod when it's in the case, but it is a bit stiff and does not lie flat, as another reviewer mentioned. This makes it harder to scroll with the wheel than I would like, especially when running. The neoprene protects the iPod well from sweat and weather. I turn it so the opening is toward the ground, so I can even run in the rain without worry. The case holds the iPod really well through several runs and while weightlifting. The opening is quite a challenge at first because it is so tight. Once I got the hang of how to get my iPod in and out, it posed no problem. While there is not a way to charge or sync your iPod while in the case, I didn't mind this, since another opening would have made the case less weather and sweat resistant. The earphone cord holder is a nice feature, since most cords are too long for an armband holder. I have a dedicated set of earphones I leave wound on the case, so I don't have bother winding and unwinding every time I work out. If you only have one set of earphones, this could get annoying. The armband is really long, and I have big arms for a woman. I can't imagine this would work for anyone with small arms. The velcro is not well-spaced, but it does hold and feels comfortable--no scratchy velcro rubbing my arm. The plastic doesn't irritate my arm either. There are reflective strips on each side of the iPod for those that run outdoors. I like anything that makes me more visible at dusk or in the early morning. This case has served me satisfactorily for several months. It is well-made and does what I need it to do, though there are some changes I would definitely make for future versions.

Based of reviews of other Nokia phones users I picked up this item from one of the other sellers listed ("Elite Items For Less") for on the price of postage ($5).
Its fits my Nokia n79 perfectly and from other reviews phones like the n86, n97 are suited to the armband as well. Based on my measurements it will fit a Nokia n900, but it'll be snug.

This is the best option I have found for my Nokia N95 8GB as well as my Nokia N97. It is the perfect compliment to the SportsTracker application. Also, washable and adjustable.

Why the "terrible" reviews?,

I'm very surprised that this armband got such negative reviews. I've used it several times and had no trouble. I'm a cyclist and I wanted an armband so I don't have to put my iPod into my bike jersey's pocket. I only intend to use it while cycling and I will keep its hard plastic case the rest of the time (that was a separate purchase). (I was hoping that I could keep the hard plastic case on the iPod and it would still go into the armband, but I didn't really expect it to fit. Unfortunately I was correct.)
Once the iPod was out of its plastic case I had no trouble getting it into the armband. Yes, it requires a bit of effort, but the person who said his iPod "flew across the room" must have been greatly exaggerating. The top is snug enough to keep the iPod in the armband and will probably loosen over time. The plastic film was not wrinkled at all. Mine is perfectly smooth. Also I had no trouble operating the click wheel. Is it the same as using the click wheel when the iPod is not in the armband? Of course not and no reasonable person should expect it to be. But for example I was adjust the volume easily on my first try. Basically this armband has met all of my expectations. I would recommend it to anyone for use while cycling or jogging.
