Look at the picture. Its not what you get.,
This review is from: Griffin 9749-PJBLK PowerJolt Auto Charger for iPod (Black) (Electronics)
The picture shows 2 cords. You only get one. The reason you need 2 is because the ipod charger and the itrip fm trnasmiter charger are different. If you are listening on fm radio and you need a charge you will have to stop listening. buy the Griffin 9769 it has 2 cords.

I bought this and another company's DC charger from the Apple store. This one works great. I gave the other one away and bought a second one of these. Compact, easy to plug in and use with my iPhone. I highly recommend this one.

This charger works great with my 1st gen Nano. I listen to Audio books. I hear no high pitched hiss or any other extra sounds when the charger is plugged in.

I've purchased 2 of these chargers because they work quite effectively. They also come with an extra USB charging cable that works flawlessly with your iPhone 3G or 3GS. The main car charging unit has a female USB connector as well as a handy replacable fuse just in case you connect it to the wrong voltage or it just wears out.
You must be very careful when selecting a car charger for either your iPod Classic, iPod Nano, iPod Shuffle, iPod Touch, iPhone, iPhone 3G or iPhone 3GS because each and every product has a slightly different voltage that is not necessarily compatible with every charging unit. I went through 3 chargers before I found this one and it performs flawlessly! To ensure that the car charger is effectively charging your iPhone or iPod, pay attention to the charging icon in the upper righthand corner of the screen. If the icon shows a battery with a lightning symbol in it for longer than 5 minutes, you can be assured it's charging properly. However, if it shows a plug-in symbol within the charging icon either immediately after you try charging it or after a few minutes, you can be assured that it is NOT compatible nor is it charging your device. Be aware that if you are charging your iPhone 3G or 3GS and using it heavily, like talking to someone on the phone while surfing the internet, or playing music while using Google Maps, the charging icon in the upper righthand corner will eventually display the plug-in symbol that indicates it's no longer charging. Be sure not to use the device heavily when you're charging it in your vehicle. For example, a phone call doesn't constitute heavy usage as it's one function being utilized at a time. More than one function operating, however, is not recommended when charging in your vehicle.

We've actually had this device for a couple of years now. It does its job with no problems and we've given it a workout many times. I couldn't ask for more.

Works like it should - no problems!,

It looks good, charges an iPod, and I haven't noticed any whining/interference as other people have.
If I had to change something it would be the cord coming out at a right angle to the DC plug, so it isn't so long, because before I modified it it wouldn't fit in the console of my car. But that shouldn't be a problem for most people.

I purchased this to use in conjunction with a Sony Cassette Adapter for MP3, MiniDisc, and Discman Players. (I could also have used it with my iRiver wireless transmitter if I hadn't just thrown it out in frustration.) It plugs in, it works, it's a beautiful thing. The extra USB cable is nice but not vital.
It's inexpensive and it works. What more could I ask for?

Does the Job and Cheap (Good/Bad),
By Nick Bennett (Chicago, IL) - See all my reviews

I was looking for a simple iPod charger for the car, already having a 3.5mm stereo input jack on my stereo, and this does the job well. I like that the cigarette lighter adapter part of the charger is not hardwired; it has a female USB socket, into which you can plug the supplied male USB to iPod plug or male USB to male mini-USB cable (great for my fiancee's phone). This means that if I lose the Griffin cable, I can still use the standard white USB iPod cable for charging.
The reason I take off a star is because I dropped the cigarette lighter adapter part on the ground while walking on the sidewalk, and the shell came apart and several metal pieces went flying. It's commendable that even if it "breaks" like this, no plastic was actually harmed and it can be re-assembled fairly easily. I'm still missing one of the non-essential metal pieces, however, and thinking that the only thing holding the part together is the close fit of the cigarette lighter worries me a little. All in all, it's an inexpensive and versatile product and if it weren't for my clumsiness it would have no visible faults.

This is a 12v iPod charger. Although it has a mini usb cable that will plug into your RAZR, your RAZR requires a 3.7v charge.
