Works as stated on the packaging. Battery will not recharge the Iphone entirely, but it works well as a back up power source.

This is a great charger. I use the USB to iPhone adapter and it works wonderfully. The charge is quick, so even a five minute drive can add a few percent to the battery. A 30 minute commute is enough time to add significant power to the battery. The removable battery charger works well too; it adds about 10-12% to the iPhone's battery in about 10 minutes. It does exactly what I bought it for.

This product functioned for me for about 3 months, then died completely. While it did correctly charge my phone during the time it worked, charging was rather slow and did not have much effect. At most I'd say it would give me an additional 20 minutes talk time when the phone was near-zero. It was OK for emergency purposes. Now, when we got our iPhone 4s and plugged them into the *replacement* device they'd just shipped me about a month ago, it immediately stopped working. Now neither the charger nor the battery works anymore, even though the batter shows a full charge. Griffin's website shows no info regarding the iPhone 4 with this device, but also does not explicitly say that it's incompatible. To me, this is avoidance. If the product is not compatible, they should have gone out of their way to contact me and let me know this, especially since my registration and email info is on file with the company, so as to avoid possible damage to my phone. If it is in fact compatible and has just broken again, then the product is of extraordinarily low quality, and I still give it 1 out of 5 stars. It's too bad, because up until 2 months ago, it would have gotten 4 stars for its easy usability, and for enabling emergency phone usage.
