5.0 out of 5 stars Very Good Product - 6g Nano fits very well
I am a runner and have used all types of armbands. I was concerned about buying this armband because of the reviews about the ipod nano falling out of the armband. I have used this armband on several 10k runs now and find it to work very well. The other reviews must not connecting the nano correctly or maybe not using a 6g. Because of the way the armband is molded...

3.0 out of 5 stars So-so armband
This armband is okay, not great; it does the job of securing the ipod nano 6th generation. However, the plastic part where the ipod attaches to irritates the skin a little when tightening the armband. And the armband does not shorten its length to accommodate small arms - I have to continually pull it up as it tends to slide down.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very Good Product - 6g Nano fits very well, June 5, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Griffin Aerosport Adjustable Armband Case for iPod nano 6G (Black/Gray) (Electronics)
I am a runner and have used all types of armbands. I was concerned about buying this armband because of the reviews about the ipod nano falling out of the armband. I have used this armband on several 10k runs now and find it to work very well. The other reviews must not connecting the nano correctly or maybe not using a 6g. Because of the way the armband is molded this will only work on an ipod nano 6g. In order to attach the ipod nano you simply lift the "tongue" and slide it through the clip on the back of the ipod nano. Once you have done this the tongue returns to its original position. The molded "stops" in the band prevents the nano from moving or falling out of the armband. The molded "stops" are configured specifically for the ipod nano 6g. This is why this armband would not work with any other version of ipod or even any other generation of the nano. Because of the reviews I read I have tried to shake and jerk the nano around in the armband to see if I could get it to fall out. I could not make it move. The fit is very secure.
Another feature that other people may not appreciate as much as I do is the rectangle plastic piece where the band is connected. In other armbands I have used the band was not stout enough and the rectangle piece would end up oblong every time. This does not happen on this armband (at least has not happened yet). It feels much more stout than other armbands I have used so I am not expecting to have this problem with this armband.
I am very happy with this product.

5.0 out of 5 stars Confusing, March 10, 2011
This review is from: Griffin Aerosport Adjustable Armband Case for iPod nano 6G (Black/Gray) (Electronics)
I have read the reviews and still couldn't figure out how the armband works. How can this be so confusing? So, my husband finally came in to see why I was working with the strap for 35 minutes, and he figuered it out. Don't use the clip on the I Pod, it is for your shirt or belt. Use the clip on the strap and it will glide into the I Pod. It does fit perfectly and will not slid out.

1.0 out of 5 stars Lost in the woods..., March 11, 2011
This review is from: Griffin Aerosport Adjustable Armband Case for iPod nano 6G (Black/Gray) (Electronics)
Griffin needs to design a better arm band that will keep the Nano more secure than what it currently does. I went hiking last week and made sure the Nano was securely fastened on the band before heading out. At about half way, I realized it was no longer on the arm band. Try finding a graphite colored Nano in the woods. Exactly.

1.0 out of 5 stars You may lose your iPod!, April 3, 2011
This review is from: Griffin Aerosport Adjustable Armband Case for iPod nano 6G (Black/Gray) (Electronics)
This band does not hold your iPod securely. A slight bump releases it and if my earphones hadn't
been attached to it I'd have lost it many times. I'm active and wear it on my forearm so it may be
more secure on your upper arm. So I've switched to a Belkin armband which holds my iPod so secure
that it takes some effort to remove it!

I'm happy with it, except that I guess I'm a little mechanically-impaired because it took me forever to figure out how the nano actually clips into the armband. The armband itself doesn't come with any instructions (but I needed some). The clip of the nano actually is threaded through the back of the armband.

Came as described. Only issue is that you must take off any kind of cover you might have on it otherwise it doesn't fit. Great for running. Holds the iPod perfectly.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great Armband For the Ipod Nano 6G, February 1, 2012
This review is from: Griffin Aerosport Adjustable Armband Case for iPod nano 6G (Black/Gray) (Electronics)
I recently purchased this armband for my Ipod Nano 6G. It does what it is supposed to do. After reading many of the reviews posted for this product, I've come to the conclusion that most of the problematic reviews given were user related. Once you come to the realization that this isn't a watchband and that it's specifically for the Ipod Nano 6G, you'll find that it's an alright product. While at the gym, I run and pick things up (and then put them down). So far it's all worked out great for me.

I would say to be careful when plugging in your headphones if you have the Ipod docked in the armband. If you apply enough pressure to the Ipod while it's holstered, you can run the possibility of "popping" the Ipod out of it's "grooved" slot. Otherwise, I don't see how the Ipod could just randomly fall out if it's properly seated. If I ever experience it, I'll be sure to update my review.

On a final note, if you can't fit this armband on your arm, you should probably focus on either inserting muscle into your arm or just packing on some pounds. I'm no meathead, and it fits fine.

Enjoy!

Does what it is expected to do at a great price from Amazon. This is the second of these armbands we own, own for a larger male and one for a smaller female. No issues with fitment on either person and the iPod is held securely. Good product.

It's a comfortable elasticized armband with a clip that dependably holds the iPod nano 6g in place. That's it. It's great. It doesn't do your workout for you, and it doesn't jump up and slide the nano in for you. You have to do that. The produce is just fine.
