5.0 out of 5 stars Works Just As I Had Hoped May 10, 2011

This is nothing fancy - It's merely a "pocket" to slide your iPad 2 in and out of when you need it for road trips. It attaches to your seat via the black strap you see in the picture...it's really quite simple. The iPad's buttons, speaker grill, and camera are all available when installed. The iPad slides in and out very easily with little effort. When mounted, the only way the iPad will fall out of this case is if your vehicle turns upside down - As you can see in the picture, one side of the case is open with no means to close it. Personally, I don't plan on flipping my car so this is a non-issue for me. I also like that I can easily take the iPad in and out of the case will minimal effort, because I only need this mount for infrequent road trips (maybe a couple times a month).

Not yet pictured is the front of the case, which covers the entire black (or white) bezel when in use. There is no plastic screen protector built into this case, which I wouldn't want anyway. And again, the home button and camera are accessible as you'd expect.

I rate this product 5 stars because it's simple and it works. Installation of the mount to the car is easy and physically putting the iPad into the case is a breeze. If you use a very thin shield on your iPAd 2 like the Incipio Feather, you do not need to remove that prior to using the CinemaSeat; it'll fit fine. Much thicker than that though and you may start running into problems. Overall, I'd recommend this to anyone in need of a simple vehicle headrest mount. I'm happy to answer any questions you may have.

3.0 out of 5 stars Good but very short strap attachment July 7, 2012

I think this is a great item and would be perfect if the strap was designed more efficiently. Head rests are so many different shapes and sizes, it should have been considered more when making this item. I can barely get it on without a struggle, but when I do, it really does work great. Even if they added an extra strap you could add if needed...
I went to michaels and bought some Velcro and just made it longer myself.

4.0 out of 5 stars Works, but could be better. November 30, 2011

The Cinemaseat works as intended, but the design could be much better with a relatively easy tweak. The problem (for me at least) is that the strap that holds the sleeve to the car headrest is almost too short.

The strap is intended to wrap around the posts of the headrest and then velcro to the back of the sleeve again. This works, but the strap is almost too short. So where it velcro's to the sleeve there is so little strap available that it is just barely hanging on. A few rough jostle's by our two year old and it can fall off.

To be fair, it doesn't happen frequently and overtime the strap may stretch out, but it does seem like a weird design choice. If it were just a few inches longer it wouldn't be a problem at all. Also this may be due to the posts of my particular car (Honda Fit) being further apart than most cars. Though it is an issue in our Honda Insight as well.

The pocket on the back, while a good idea, doesn't have much use. We leave the Cinemaseat strapped in the car at all times and just slide the iPad in and out, so the pocket is always between it and the car seat and is inaccessible.

Overall it works as intended, but there is a possibility if the posts of your headrest are far apart, that it won't fit on your car.

Good idea, bad design. iPad fell out given it can slip in and out of the top. My iPad did fall out when removing the case from the car.
