I picked this up at a best buy and it is everything I wanted in a case. I looked at lots of others online and too bad no one else reviewed this.

pros
+ leather seems real and looks nice
+ fits my 80gb like a glove!!
+ inner lining is soft and doesn't scratch my ipod!
+ screen protector is tough and doesn't interfere with picture quality
+ the folio part protects the click wheel and screen protector
+ stands up well on moderately rough surfaces
+ modifiable belt clip - can be regular, horizontal, or removed
+ doesn't add too much bulk, - fits in my pocket easily
+ decently padded to protect from dropping

Con
- the only bad thing about it is the whole for the earphones doesn't line up perfectly and you have to take them out to stand it up

overall great!!! The only other thing that would be nice is if it had a magnet to keep it shut, but it isn't necessary at all, it would just be cool.

I just bought this case today. It is very slick. It covers the screen great it does not cover the wheel at all but that isn't a big deal to me. I have seen a lot of reviews here about the case not closing. People have suggested that they put a magnet on it. However, you have to realize that your ipod is essentially a hard drive. That hard drive is about .5 inches away from your case or less if you put a magnet on the case it would most definitely interfere with you hard drive and disrupt its ability to operate correctly. If you don't believe me put a magnet on your tower or if you are using a laptop place one by the hard drive you will immediately see the effects take place. remove the magnet! If this does not work with immediate results just take a look at this case made for the ipod touch. They put a magnet on it, check out the amazon reviews you will see. If you really want the flap to stay close I suggest doing what I have done. Take off the belt clip. The easiest way of doing this is to remove the flap then remove the belt clip and then put the flap back in place. Then carry it at work, at the gym, wherever you'd like but make sure to carry it in your pocket! I prefer carrying it in my cheek pocket but do not sit on it. After about 6 hours of doing this at work I noticed that the flap stayed closed it was not bowed out like when I first got it. I will put the clip back on it tonight and wear it on my belt and it will look a lot better than if I would have just clipped it right away. I have received many compliments on this case already from my first day wearing it at work. I recommend this case to everyone with an ipod classic. I also had no problem with wearing my head phones with the flap closed just had to wiggle it a little to put the cord in. Also i was able to open the flap and operate my ipod with the cord already being in it. closed flap to open flap I mean. This is a great case and a great price can't beat it.

I have had a griffin case like this one for 6 years before it finally died <elastic wore out> . Over the past 6 years of use i have dropped, scrapped, overheated, and even had it freeze. My case has lasted threw 9 iPods, over 2 dozen trips, a good soaking in acetone, and paint thinner, a dog chewing on it , and 5 years working in a mill. I will only buy griffin cases for my phones, iPods, and any other gadget i can get one for. The case is durable and strong. The leather over the belt tab isn'n even worn out.

The Flip-Top case for the iPod classis work as advertised. I only wish that there was something to hold the flap closed.

Just arrived today and I'm psyched! This inexpensive little wonder will make my upcoming 11 hour flight to Scotland a breeze; the flip cover doubles as a stand and I can watch my movies and videos on the airplane tray table without inconvenience and awkwardness.

The leather is a decent quality, it fits my iPod Classic 160 GB like a glove and if I HAD to complain - it's a small one - I would have to admit it was a struggle to remove the belt clip. However, it's done now and it not only closes better over the screen, the stand is now more supportive.

Definitely, DEFINITELY worth the buy!

I've been the owner of this product for about a month now. Have nothing negative to say about it.

I like this case very much. It fits my iPod classic 6G perfectly, while not being too tight so I can easily take the ipod out (it wouldn't fit my dock). It provides good protection, so I no longer have to worry about my ipod in my pocket bumping against my keys.

I had been searching around the local box stores and even the apple store for a case for my ipod classic. You would think that apple would support a product they still sell but apparently not. Amazon to the rescue! Griffon products are generally well made and I've had many of these type of cases in the past. They usually last me a year or so because i beat them up at work. Being a carpenter they do take a lot of abuse on the job. My only gripe is that this case IS NOT magnetic, and will not stay closed on its own. I highly recommend taking the time to find the case that has the magnetic catch. otherwise the product does what its designed to do

It is a good little case. My only complaint with it is that there is nothing covering the wheel. My case for my last iPod had a very thin leather covering that went over the wheel as well. Your fingers never had to actually touch the iPod...ever. It's a big deal to me. It is a very good case though. I'm glad I bought it.
