I'm not a big fan of the buds that come with the Nano (mediocre sound quality and they always fall out). I was tempted by the high-end Shures and other brands but figured I'd try these first for only $20. For my uses - working out and airplanes - these are great for the money. Very good bass response and the mid & treble is more than adequate. Great background noise isolation too.I ordered the charcoal color, but Amazon goofed and sent me white. I was too anxious to mess with returns, so I just kept them. Glad I did. I highly recommend these.

Great Until They Break,

I loved these headphones. They are extremely comfortable in your ear and provide good sound. However as others have noted, after about 8 months the headphones started to short at the top of the connector and ultimately made them unusable. Since it seems almost everyone sees this problem, I'll have to find another pair of headphones to buy.

I was so pleased with these when I bought them! They worked great, good sound quality, and fit so comfortably in my ears. However the durability of these things are horrible, I had them for about 4 or 5 months and the frail wiring broke on one bud and I couldn't get any sound on one of the ear buds. I was so frustrated! I would not reccommend these for long term use. Buy some Apple In Ear Headphones or Bose headphones. I was trying to save money and these headphones failed to live long.

Good earphones that conk out too early,

Here's the thing about Griffin earbuds. They're good if you can get them at a cheap used price. They stay in the ear well. But they usually conk out (the right side usually goes first) too soon, about a month or so after you buy them. This is my fourth pair. I'm used to having a good pair of headphones function for at least a year. They're great while they last though. This recent pair I bought has a inch of rubber reinforcement at the jack plug, perhaps to avoid having the sound go out so early. It helps because it doesn't bend so much at the jack when you wrap it around your music player when you're not using it. It's been good so far. I do recommend them but on average they're not worth more than say 10 bucks.

I've spent many-an-hour looking for good earbuds for my iPod. I stumbled upon these at a bookstore and without researching I just threw out 20 bucks and said, "Lets see what happens." So I plugged them in, put them in my ears (the silicon fittings were very comfortable...and I'm a big wuss when it comes to wearing earbuds), and couldn't get past how bassy they were. I was a little dissapointed.Once I sat down and looked at the earbuds, I realized that they had a hole on the back to allow more air in to increase the bass (many companies use this trick). I remember someone saying to put a small piece of clear tape over the holes to reduce the bass. It worked like a charm. The bass is no longer muddy and it allows you to hear the highs better too. I gave these four stars because 1) I shouldn't have had to do the tape on the back to reduce the bass and 2) I haven't had them long enough to see the durability (though according to everyone else, that seems to be a problem). But so far, they are the best overall earbuds I've owned.

Great alternative to pricy etymotic headphones...,

I am not an audiophile, but I do listen to music about 5 hours or so a day, so I know comfort and decent sound quality. I have been looking for headphones that do block noise, but without those bulky white noise generators (I have a pair of Phillips SBC HN050, been there, not doing it again). So when I got my new iPod Shuffle, I decided I needed some headphones for it, and they had to be somewhat stylish. These headphones fit well (there are three different plug sizes, try them all to see what works for you) and the sound quality is nice, not great, but I hope you weren't expecting that for 15 odd bucks. Also if none of the provided plugs work, make your own. Look up moding earphones, or just put a small hole through a pair of drug store ear plugs, and now you have ear phones that fit you perfectly and block out noise.

I loved these earbuds for the first two months. I raved to my friends. I bought pairs for several people at work. Then, about a month later, my boss came to me and told me one of the earbuds stopped producing sound. I thought it was because she was rough on them, but then quickly thereafter, my earbuds did the same thing... then another coworker had the same problem... all withing weeks of each other after purchasing them around the same time.I know they're cheap. I know they're comfortable, but seriously, you're going to spend three or four times the amount over the course of a year just replacing them, so you might as well buy something slightly more expensive and get more wear from them.

This headphones are very nice lookning, and are perfect for the average ipod/mp3 user, not for audio experts. The price is amazing, its definitively a good value for in-ear headphones.

Awesome Quality!,

Pros:+ Awesome Sound Quality. Strong bass and good all around quality (feels like I am standing in the center of a 5.1 surround system with a woofer). Definitely the best I've heard in sub $70 earphones. + Very Nice case. Opens like a book with little mesh linings inside to hold the earphones and a tiny zipper pocket inside to hold the other size silicon inserts you're not using. + Excellent Finish. The earphones feel sturdy and have a nice glossy finish not found in this price range. The case is cute, classy, and quality fabric. Cons: - Slipping - Will easily stay in your ear while walking but once you start sweating (during a very hot day or while running) the earphones start to slip out. Overall: + A steal! Even if I had paid 3 times as much I would have been very satisfied! Nothing in this price range can beat this quality.

Great fit/stop working quick,

I love the fit of these earthumbs, unfortunately, like the other reviewers, one of the earpieces stops working quickly. I thought I was being rough on them because I use them when I work out. I have bought 3 pairs and the my experience has been that the left earthumb will stop working. Unfortunately, the last pair only lasted about 6 weeks.
