5.0 out of 5 stars Good Quality, Excellent Value
I am using this skin on an iPod Touch 3G. This skin comes in a pack of two with two screen protectors. The skin feels durable, is pleasant to touch and seems thick enough to spare your iPod from a mild fall or bump. It is very grippy and you are unlikely to drop it accidentally. 3.0 out of 5 stars Static cling.
PROS:

- This is a very good iPod Touch 2G case. Inexpensive and it protects your iPod from scratches and offers a decent protection if you ever drop it.
- Unlike other cases, it covers the home button but makes it still usable due to the indentation in the silicon.

This review is from: Griffin FlexGrip Silicone Case for iPod touch 2G, 3G (Black/Red) (Electronics)
PROS:

- This is a very good iPod Touch 2G case. Inexpensive and it protects your iPod from scratches and offers a decent protection if you ever drop it.
- Unlike other cases, it covers the home button but makes it still usable due to the indentation in the silicon.
- The volume and power button is also covered but still functional unlike hard plastic cases where there are access holes for the buttons.
- It is inexpensive and you get 2 for the price of one.
- The fit is snug.
- The package comes with 2 clear screen shield. If you are looking for an inexpensive cover for your iPod, this is the one to buy.

CONS:
- A magnet for dust, hair fiber and anything else that clings to the rubber/silicon material due to static.

Yes its silicon material produces static (then again that is probably true on all silicon based cases). If you don't mind the cover to look dirty from dust and hair fibers (specially if you have dogs or cats), then it's not a problem. I guess one can say that it served it's purpose. However, it just doesn't look cool when you are trying to impress someone with your expansive taste in music by showing off your iPod Touch to other peeps; and as you take it out of your pocket there are loads of dusts and cat/dog hair covering your case. So it's coolness factor is definitely low.

Or you can just make sure to empty pockets and wash your clothes or get rid of your dogs/cats. Just a thought.

It has given me the confidence to take my iPod on the road and not worry about it getting banged up or scratched up. The home, power and volume buttons work fine through the skin.
The only demerits are and these may be true of most skins - it makes docking harder if not impossible and the iPod is not easily removed from the skin once inserted.

4.0 out of 5 stars Awesome!, January 7, 2010
This review is from: Griffin FlexGrip Silicone Case for iPod touch 2G, 3G (Black/Red) (Electronics)
I love it. I love how it came with two cases and two screen protectors. The case is very tight fitting and does not cover any of the touch screen, but overlaps the screen protector for a good seal to make sure nothing gets under the case.

The only problem I had was the screen cover, I ruined one by having an OCD fit while trying to put it on PERFECTLY, but thats my own fault. And you kinda gotta push the volume buttons a little bit harder since it it covers it, but the top button feels the same.

Other than that, perfect! Does not cover headphone jack or connector at all.

Protection in a small package and you get both red and black versions. I think I could drop my iPod Touch onto concrete without damaging it and access to connectors and touch screen are not encumbered.

I made this purchase based on a positive review by MacWorld. I was originally thinking about a hard case but they made this recommendation so I decided to give it a try. I like both the style and the utility of this design. I also really like the fact that there two cases(one black, one red - similar design) in the package. I don't know how much abuse one would have to inflict on the cover to render it worthless. Probably more than you'd want to put your Touch through. The fact that the package also includes screen guards and a cloth to wipe the unit down.

We do have animals, and as a previous poster stated, this one appears to be a bit of a hair magnet. That said, I'm still glad I made the purchase and it should perform the duty of protecting my ipod nicely even if I decide to go in another direction down the road.
