Book Description

May 2001
This is a story about five different beings from five different worlds. They are magically transported by a Griffin named Laren into this world of Eris. But the magic ends at that point-for off-worlders are immune to the magic of Eris, both the good and the bad. That is why they were brought to Eris by The Great Griffin, he needs them in his battle to overcome the Evil Lord Tarat and his sorcery and his evil followers. It all begins with a rescue mission to free the wee folk of Eris named Balens and Poloes from a life of slavery. It ends with choices-who will stay, and who will return to their home worlds? This is only the beginning of a saga that will see mankind rule Griffin Island and a world called Eris.

3.0 out of 5 stars An enjoyable, quick read, July 12, 2010
This review is from: GRIFFIN ISLAND (Kindle Edition)
For me, Griffin Island was a quck and enjoyable read. I thought the storyline was very imaginative and I found that I really cared about the characters. I think this book would be better suited for teens/young adults (although I'm 29 and I still enjoyed it).

4.0 out of 5 stars Interesting Blend of Faith and Fantasty, May 31, 2010
This review is from: GRIFFIN ISLAND (Kindle Edition)
I was given the opportunity to read this before it was published, and was surprised at the powerful, positive message aimed at adolescents. An old fashioned, good guys can still win ending, with an unexpected view of fantasy fiction.
