Quality Sound, Simple Package, Nicely Mobile
First off, if your EQ setting is Bass Booster you will rant about how distorted and awful this is. It's not the Journi's fault, it's not understanding your iPod and using both improper. I tried this with a variety of songs from a variety of genres and found the sound is quite excellent for a small unit which can run for hours on a charge. Simple to set up...

Distortion out of the box!
The audio has been distorted from day one. Too true there is no bass, not because of physics, because of distortion. Go for the best and forget these low end speakers. They're a neat design and I was looking forward to decent response - I KNOW they can't produce a lot of low end, but I expected a little something. I figure if a person wants cheap speakers, forget speakers...

First off, if your EQ setting is Bass Booster you will rant about how distorted and awful this is. It's not the Journi's fault, it's not understanding your iPod and using both improper.
I tried this with a variety of songs from a variety of genres and found the sound is quite excellent for a small unit which can run for hours on a charge. Simple to set up and use, convenient to take travelling. One thing I would change, allow the cover to be removed or put holes in it so I can wrap up the unit and still listen. If the cover removes I haven't found a way and do not wish to damage it trying too hard something I shouldn't. The remote is a nice touch, while it does not navigate the iPod menus, it does the basic on/of, pause/play, volume up/down and skip to next/previous track.

I figure if a person wants cheap speakers, forget speakers and buy ear devices, otherwise...well, they're horrid! I'd give it NO stars but I had to pick one.
