it is very affordable, good quality and functional. Long range remote control goes thru walls. Unfortunately playback volume is low, so you have to crank up your receiver. The last one, I expected it! It is a good product & works fine.

I ordered this Airdock from Amazon to listen to my 4th generation iPod Touch through my stereo system. I was initially unable to get the Airdock to work with the new Touch, but I then realized the Dock Adapter that came installed in the Airdock was keeping my Touch from inserting fully into it. When I removed the white plastic Dock Adapter, I was able to insert the Touch fully into the Airdock's well. Fully inserting the Touch takes a little care, but the Airdock now works wonderfully. When the blue light on the front of the Airdock glows, you know your Touch is correctly inserted, and charging.

The Airdock's remote control has a sliding lock on its right side which disables its buttons. My remote came with the red dot under the slider showing, which signals that the remote is locked. Move the slider so that it hides the red dot, and the remote will be unlocked and ready to control the Airdock. You can even turn the Touch off with the remote by briefly pressing and holding the remote's play/pause button. The Touch will turn off, but it will continue charging.

Based upon my limited experience with the Airdock, it appears to be a great product at a great price, and I am glad I bought it. It is a luxury to be able to listen to one's entire music library through one's stereo system while remotely controlling both the songs and their volume. In addition, the Airdock does double-duty as a charger. Highly recommended.

I love the practicity of this product but it does have a chime in the background you some times hear. To bad, otherwise I would have rated it 5 stars.

UPDATE: I changed the audio wire and works great. It even works with my new Ipod touch newest generation!!! Thats a bonus!!

This works very well as an ipod dock for our stereo. The fidelity seems indistguishable from the 100.00 units. It has all the basic functions one might want. No complaints at all for this 20.00 product.

This is the second Airdock I've bought. I decided to give this one a try after reading reviews saying it worked with the iPod Touch 4g.
The first was an older model that was completely incompatible; ended up giving it to a friend.

This one is at least partly compatible. You have to remove the insert to dock the Touch properly, and while sound playback is okay, video playback doesn't work at all. It'll play the sound for the video just fine, but the image displays only on the iPod, and sideways at that. So it's good for charging and listening to music, but not for watching videos- which unfortunately was the main reason I bought it. After rereading the reviews, I noticed none of the ones mentioning the 4g said anything about video playback. Wish I'd noticed that before.

One funny thing- the "PowerBlock" AC adapter included with the Airdock actually costs more to purchase separately than with this dock. So I guess I got one good thing out of it.

Great way to add extra access to your ipod. Make sure of proper seating in the dock and use both the ipod and stereo to increase volume so the spekers aren't over modulated and thus distorted. Buttons on remote are black on black and you must learn the function of each as you can't see them in less than daylight for function use. very good value and recommended highly!

I own one of this and I Love it. Work perfect with a Ipod Photo 30GB (I think Genetarion 4). The control remote is responsibe and have great range. The base is aluminum and well biuld. Also, and this is important: The base and the remote can ajust the sound level output. For me this is critical, since I have another base that I buy here at Amazon but forget to explain that the base sound output was fix to 100%... this only work fine if you are planing to conect it to a stereo, in my case I use pc speckers on a tall furtiture..dificult to ajust the volume averytime someone came at my office.... This ones work perfect. Notice that teh base need electrical power to work,from the power adaptar or via USB, otherwise the sound is terrible and the control reomote is useless.

Para los de habla hispana. Esta base esexcelente. Esta hecho de alunimio y la contruccion es muy buena. Viene con adaptadores para diferentes modelos. El transformador de electricidad es de tamaño pequeño. El control remoto es bluetooth asi que es no importa si hay algo en medio como paredes, igual respone perfecto por ser inalambrico y no infrarojo. La base permite controlar el volumen de salida del Ipod perfectamente, por lo que se puede usar en un equipo de sinido o como en mi caso con parlantes de PC de alto desempeño sin perder la facilidad de controlar el Ipod al 100% via el control remoto (para mi esto es importante muchas bases no tiene control de volumen incluido, mandan el sonido al 100% de la capacidad y mis parlantes estan en alto por lo que es imposible andar ajustandoles el volumen a cada rato). Si es necesario indicar que la base no sirve de nada sin corriente electrica via el trasformador o via un puesto USB.

I bought this product in July, and by September, three of the buttons on the remote no longer worked! Also, it made this recurrent scratching sound the entire time I had it. The remote worked from anywhere in the house (when it worked) but I guess that doesn't really matter now!!

I wanted an adapter to connect my iPod Nano to my stereo to play music and charge the battery. This is better than I expected and has all the features I wanted plus some. RF remote is great and has great range, cables and connectors are good quality and long enough to be convienent. The base has enough weight and an non skid pad to keep it stable. Also everything is small and portable. There is even a video connection built in which I have not used yet but I am sure it will be handy in the future. Great product, I have used it for about 2 weeks with no complaints. Highly recommend this product.
