We got this iPad holder to keep our son entertained on a long drive. For the most part, it works, but it has two annoying design flaws.

First, as others have noted, the strap is too short. We have a Honda CRV, probably one of the most popular family vehicles in the country, and the strap does not reach around the headrest bars. In addition, the design of the velcro closure is bad: I expected the velcro fastener to be on the other side of the strap, so it forms a more secure loop. In the end, we had to use a heavy-duty clip (the kind you use for a big stack of paper) to hold the strap on.

Second, the case is completely open on one side, with no strap or velcro to hold it in. As a result, if you pick up the case the wrong way (which is easy to do), the iPad just falls right out!

All in all, this case served its purpose, but I would not recommend it to anyone in its current form.

I got this for my child to watch videos on car trips. It does fit our headrest bars but is tight. I mainly wanted to write the review to say that, in addition to my iPad, my HP Touchpad also fits in this baby. It is a smidge off at the openings for the camera and the bottom/center home button, but not so much that you can't use both easily (the button and camera are just a bit to the side rather than centered in the cutouts). Also, if you put it in the right way, you can still access all the side and top controls like volume and off.

The product is very well built with good materials. The mount to car is very secure. This one is for iPad, but it works for iPad2 too, just a little bit loose for iPad2. I took road trips with my sons couple times, my son really enjoy it.

It's pretty basic stuff here but it works well and is very quick to get on and off the head rest. I am very happy with it so far. It doesn't take up too much space and I can't feel it when it's behind my head while driving as I could with other portable DVD player devices with many straps and struggles. It can also work as a travel case in a pinch but certainly isn't designed to do so. The space inside fits only the ipad and nothing more. Even a thin rubber or plastic body skin would likely need to be removed before use. I chose this holder over some of the other ones that were plastic as I have had bad luck with those. It appears to be built well and I expect it to last longer than my ipad unfortunately likely will. :)

The product is average only. The strap to tie ard the support of the car head rest is a bit too short. Cumbersome to put strap through to fasten.

I got this for our car, so I didn't have to rig my ipad to hang from it's case anymore, but it's really not worth the money, I think. This is a nice feeling product, sturdy when you attach it to the headrest, and has a nice pocket on the back for headphones and such... But I could have saved myself the money, because it really is no better than just keeping it in it's case, (I have an Incase with a band across the back), and attaching it to the back of the headrest myself with some added headbands. Also, I was hoping that it could attach around the *actual* headrest, and not hang below it, (where it is within reach of my toddler's kicking feet), but the strap to attach it is not long enough, so it hangs just under the headrest... So, to summarize, it's a good product, but if you already have a sturdy case you keep your ipad in daily, then I would recommend hanging on to that, and your money, and just rigging something yourself. I'll be returning this...

All you need is an iPad and this item and you are all set for a long trip where you need to entertain a kid in the back. And if your car has a Bluetooth system you can even listen to the sound through your car speakers. I think this is an excellent alternative to buying those expensive entertainment systems that comes with new cars. The only "bad" thing about it is that once it is strapped to the headrest of front seat it is a bit hard to control the ipad from the front (impossible for the driver)

We bought this before a 13 hour drive on vacation. It worked perfectly and we had no problems using it with the iPad2.
