I think that this product does everything that it is supposed to do. Solid construction, etc. But I will have to say that I didn't use it very long simply because of the bulk. I tried hard to find something with minimal bulk, and all things considered this worked alright. But even the little bit it added to the phone was enough for me to go back au natural.

I ordered this product after reading some really good reviews. The honest truth is that this case actually ends up scratching your phone after a while. It's nothing really big but it's a lot of little scratches all over the phone, even the bezel. The screen protector is worthless. Go with a rubber one, it's what I'm gonna do.

I've had this case for about 3 months, and while it fits my iPhone 3G very well and provides good protection, I cannot recommend it, as the case recently developed a crack in the upper left corner. It has never been dropped or treated roughly, so I have to blame this on poor quality. I will be purchasing a new case of another brand.

As mentioned by other reviewers, this case has a tendency to break in the upper left corner. In order to expose the ring/vibrate switch and volume controls, there is only a thin strip of plastic in that area, which can break even on light impacts. It was simple enough to superglue the fractured case back together, but this has happened to me many times now, with the plastic breaking in a slightly different spot each time. To the case's credit, my phone is fine...

Bought this case back on Sept. 1st received it on Sept. 6th. Looked at a lot of cases before buying. This case was everything that I was looking for. Protected the iPhone 3G very well, never had an issue with scratching or scuffing. Came with a nice screen protector, some don't. I particularly liked the hard plastic with the softer silicon/plastic on the back side. Held in the hand well giving it a little grip but not too much that it wouldn't slide in and out of the pocket. It's not the bulkiest case out there but it's not the slimmest either.

With that said, after having it for 4 months it has developed multiple cracks on the top right (looking at the back) between the volume/silence and the jack port. I know what your thinking he dropped it, duh. However, I did not drop this phone what so ever. The only thing I can think of is that it could have been damaged or exacerbated a defect when you remove the case to clean the iPhone. Which shouldn't be the case, no pun intended. I baby all my electronics and this is very disappointing because up till now it has been a great case.

The Griffon Nu Form is a fantastic case for the 3G iphone. Its really low profile, leaves great access to all of the buttons, and adds just enough grip without having it get caught in your pocket when trying to remove it. The only nit to pick is that air gets underneath the plastic screen cover that you can see when the phone is off, but causes no issues when actually using the phone. If it is bothersome to you, you can remove the screen altogether or use one of the "cling" protectors and the case still holds the phone tightly. Personally it doesn't bother me at all, I just wanted to point it out. Overall I think its the best case out there.

This is a very sturdy shell which also protects the screen, with minimal additional bulk to your iPhone. Touch screen works fine with screen protector installed. The removable bottom seems sturdy and stays in place.

The case looks fairly nice, but I don't really like the pattern on the back (you'll have to look on Griffins site, Amazon doesn't have a picture of it). Also, I'm not sure why this is called "black"... it's really mostly dark gray except for the bottom bit.

Good case for the money.

I bought this item in 2009 from TjMax and it was in good condition till now even though I had dropped multiple times in carpet or in direct floor...nothing happend to the case and of course my iphone. This product is very solid one.... so, I searched for the same item and got in Amazon (from shopcell). The shipment came in right time and the product is in good shape....

Others have seen this phenomenon, too. The upper left of the case cracks after a few months use. It is like the case shrinks (because it fits well at first) and the weakest point of the unit fails.I only paid $10 at Marshall's but I won't be buying another one!

I replaced my case with the Griffin Outfit Shade iPhone 3G, 3G S Case (Silver).
The new one doesn't have a screen protector, but the old protector from the broken case fits quite nicely (fits even better, IMO).

I've had this case for a little over a month. Looks great and fits the iPhone perfectly, but has begun to crack in the top left corner. I have yet to drop the phone, so that does not explain the crack. Very disappointed. I've ordered a new case, the SwitchEasy Rebel, to replace this one.
