4.0 out of 5 stars Nice book on the "Long nose Spit", February 2, 2004
This review is from: Griffon-Powered Spitfires - Warbird Tech Vol. 32 (Paperback)
This book written by Mr. Darling is the ideal companion text to the one of the same series on the "Merlin Spit" (WBT N°35).
Also in this case the challenging task of succintly describe the fascinating story of this "Work of art's fighter" is successly accomplished, especially considering the good amount of technical infos delivered to the reader, with many photos/drawings of structure. I personally like very much the technical analysis, also pointing out some idyosincracies of the first Griffon Spit (especially controllability problems on the roll and pitch axis). A good book on the "Spit"!
