4.0 out of 5 stars Grill Gauge Model #GG1100
Have tried a number of different types of gauges and this one simply takes you back to the basics. Discovered after ordering I could have purchased the same item on line at Ace Hardware for a few dollars less.

1.0 out of 5 stars Grill gas guage
I used it on a fully empty tank and it read that was 1/4 full, what a joke...don't waste your money on this unless you simply want a reading that you really cannot trust. I will stick with my weber silver genesis grill's gaguge, it is more accurate than this piece of junk.

5.0 out of 5 stars Simple and it works, September 8, 2008

This is about as simple as a gadget can get. All you have to do is lift the bottle and read. Since my bottle is enclosed, I don't even mess with it until I know it is getting toward the end. Then, I pull the bottle out and measure it. With a little time, you can really predict when you might be running low. Since I have two tanks, it works like a charm. I use the one that is running out to preheat the grill or burn at the end after I take the food off. That way, I never have to run out in the middle of cooking.

5.0 out of 5 stars Exactly what I was looking for, February 13, 2011

It's really hard to determine how much propane you have. Most strips require hot water to work. What a pain! I don't need to know poundage, just a rough idea. When I saw this I had to have it. It works fine, it's reasonably priced and is as accurate as I need. If I'm getting close, I'll have another cylinder on hand. Also when you trade in, you can make sure that you get a full one. (Which has been a problem recently.) The gauge I got was damaged in the mail. acehardwareoutlet replaced it w/o demanding return of the damaged one. Thanks guys!

For the price, it is great. Works great and I love that it is portable and easy to use. Nothing to twist on or off, and it's nice that you don't have to unhook the lp tank to check it. I will buy another for friends. This is a great gauge.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best Propane Gauge!, June 22, 2011
This review is from: Original Grill Gauge (Lawn & Patio)
I used to own that tank-connected scale with the meter and it was supposed to measure by pressure. Hah! It worked about half of the time and never when it got cold outside or when the tank was less than half-full! Bought the Grill Gauge because of great reviews on TV and its' low cost. Well, it works fast and accurate - all the time.

Why have I spent all those bucks on the fancy, expensive, colorful, solid brass, INACCURATE gauges?

Finally, for under $20, I have found one that really works and is really accurate.

This is a no brainer. You will not be disappointed.

Bought this as a christmas gift for my husband. He had already decided that on Christmas he would need to go out and trade his tank. When he opened this he quickly went outside and realized he still had half a tank left! He fried our turkey without any issues! Since then I have bought one for my dad and my brother in law. They all love it! LOL Men and their grills, so easy to please.
