More About the Author

Angeline Hawkes holds a B.A. in Composite English Language Arts from Texas A&M University-Commerce. She is a former high school teacher. Angeline's collection, The Commandments, was a Bram Stoker Award finalist. Her story, "In Waters Black the Lost Ones Sleep", appears in the Origins award-nominated Chaosium anthology, Frontier Cthulhu. Recent work from Christopher Fulbright and Angeline includes a novella, Black Mercy Falls, from Delirium Books, and novel, Scavengers, from Elder Signs Press. Bad Moon Books will publish Out of the Garden and Other Tales of the Barbarian Kabar of El Hazzar, a novel-length barbarian fantasy collection, Spring 2012, and horror collection, Inferno: Tales of Hell and Horror, Winter 2012. I live backwards and love it. Read Volume II before Volume I. This has something for everyone and I am ever so thankful it was brought to my attention. Contains Bardic Tales, subtle romance and the downfalls of bad choices and greed even when second chance blows the "hero's" way. Excellent writes from all authors involved. Bravo!

Satisfies the hunger for more traditional fantasy, especially for those who are tired of Vampires in NYC, what-if sci-fi/fantasy mutant blends, and other such nonsense. Lots of solid "dark" fantasy here as well, with particularly strong contributions from Wagner and Heath-- just like in Volume I. Considering all the junk getting published today, Grimoire is a big-time bargain.

Wonderful. Strong writing, great characterizations. You could feel the settings and identify with quite a few of the characters.
