Book Description

Harlequin Next December 1, 2005

Stacy Kavanaugh's life has been the pits lately. Six months ago --okay, six months, one week and two days, but who's counting? --her husband left her for an exotic dancer. The property settlement negotiations have been downright ugly. And exhausting. Stacy has had enough. She's ready to throw in the towel. And the pasta machine, too.

But you know what they say about the best laid plans. Her attorney calls to tell her that Daniel is now threatening to ask for half of her business in the property settlement. Stacy figures things have hit rock bottom. How could they get any worse? Well.... a Sheriff's Deputy could deliver the news that Daniel has crashed his single engine plane into the mountains of Montana's Bitterroot National Forest. He's presumed dead, but there's no body. They think a bear dragged it away. It's snowing and it'll be Spring before they can do another search for Daniel's remains. Yeah, that would definitely qualify as worse!

5.0 out of 5 stars amusing fast-paced action thriller, December 15, 2005
This review is from: Grin And Bear It (Harlequin Next) (Mass Market Paperback)
Daniel Kavanaugh dumped his wife Stacy to be with exotic dancer Pammy. As they obtain a divorce, they argue over whom should possess what material items. In fact in recent weeks Daniel has been nasty and testy while Stacy wants to move on to start her life over.

The dispute ends when Daniel dies in a plane crash, but his corpse is missing. At a memorial service for Daniel, all hell breaks loose leaving Stacy to wonder what is going on. Adding to her bewilderment is a string of crimes that include homicides and break-ins. As law enforcement looks into the situation, Stacy finds herself surprisingly attracted to two hunks intimately involved in the case.

GRIN AND BEAR IT lives up to its title as the story line combines tons of fast-paced action with loads of humor and a side order of romance into a palate pleasing thriller. Stacy is a fabulous protagonist trying to regain equilibrium in her life following her spouse's desertion, but each step she takes seems to lead to a deeper chasm; still she refuses to quit. Readers will enjoy accompanying the heroine as she hunts for a new life, but only appears to land deeper in the quicksand of her previous one.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fun!, December 30, 2005
Fun, flirty, suspenseful but not scary- great curl up in front of the fire and laugh read. I bought the book based on the adorable cover and catchy title- ( My Ex Got Eaten by a Bear- and that's Ok) and read it for the fun ride the author takes the reader on.
