This is a great CD. I foud the original Vinyl Record at a Library Book Sale. (The original recod was called "Songs From 'How The Grinch Stole Christmas' And Other Children's Christmas Songs" on the RCA Special Productions label.) It had Christmas Songs on it that I never heard of Before. I got it. I loved "Rags" from the first minute I heard it. it is about a poor boy selling Christmas trees and what Christmas is REALLY about. The Marty Gold Children's Chorus, who sing All the Songs, are really good singers. even the Grinch songs are the next best thing to the original if you want to hear slightly diffrent versions of the songs I thought it would be one of those great Children's Records that would be lost and forgotten in the archives, that I would never see again. I am glad that it was brought back on CD in Great quality for todays Children!!!! Buy it!!!!!!

well i took a listen to this album that has been favorite of mine since i was a kid. which was a long time ago nearly 30 yrs. ago. i listened to the LP which was beat up after years of use recently, so i went digging around and found it here, i thought for sure it would've been bury in the vaults of RCA/BMG somewhere. and i'd have to rip my old beat LP for the source, which didn't want to do, because it's full of scratches and pops. but luckily they released it again on CD. Thank You RCA/BMG for releasing this wonderful christmas classic . the only thing i have a beef with is the change of the title slightly and the original Artwork isn't included either. other than that it's the same recording that you'd probably remember as kid on LP called:How the Grinch Stole Christmas & Other Children's Christmas Songs. the mastering of this CD is just wonderful, the transfer of music sounds so much better than before on Lp. a Christmas Classic to cherishes for years to come with your family. a very sweet and tender versions of classic christmas songs sung by Marty Gold's Children's Chorus a winner.

Highly Recommended

I found this CD in a bargain bin somewhere and thought, "what the heck?" I love Christmas music, and I didn't realize when I bought this that it was kids SINGING kid's Christmas songs. I thought it was just Christmas songs FOR kids. Well, I put the CD in my car and made it through about two songs before I felt like jabbing pencils in my ears. It was horrible!! The organ accompaniment really dates this to about 30 years ago, and makes me feel like I'm in a cheesy lounge for kids. Awful, awful, awful.

HOWEVER - I forgot that this was in the CD player in my car and mistakenly turned it on while my daughter (20 months) was with me. She LOVES it! She is enamored of the voices of the kids, and really likes to listen to this. Over and over. And over. And over. So if you're buying this for your little kids (under 5 years old-ish), they'll love it. Just be prepared to be in misery while listening, and try to suffer with a smile on your face when you realize that these are the songs running through your head while you're in a meeting or in the shower. I gave it a three stars because my daughter loves it just as much as I hate it.

I didn't really like the children's choir sound in this CD. we listened to it once and may never again. I think if you teach, or do a christmas concert each year with children, this may be helpful for ideas, just not for me.
