This professional looking coffee/tea pod brewing unit is perfect for home or commercial use - and was designed by GRINDMASTER(tm), the leader in commercial brewing equipment. Brew one cup of coffee or tea at a time --- any flavor you d like - at any time you choose. Brews a 8 ounce cup of coffee in approximately 30 seconds -- or one 8 ounce cup of tea in less than a minute. Unit is compatible with virtually all standard coffee or tea pod sizes (45mm to 65mm) - giving the user dozens of brand and flavor choices. Control panel offers separate coffee and tea brewing buttons and selectable strength lever. 38 oz removable water reservoir keeps water hot until use and is easy to fill. Unit also dispenses hot water, on demand, via the 38 oz internal tank, which holds water at around 200 degrees. PrecisionBrew is the most versatile brewer in the category - It accommodates the widest variety of pod brands and sizes (from 45mm to 65mm); so coffee and tea-lovers can enjoy all their favorite blends, estate-grown and decaf varieties conveniently at home. And, it features Grindmaster original hot water reservoir-style home brewing system that holds the water at 200 degrees F /- 5 degrees. We bought this as a closeout, not knowing anything about pod coffeemakers, except that they seemed so convenient for whenever anyone wanted decaf or flavored coffees, since we always brew full caffein espresso for Cafe Americano and lattes. At first we weren't too happy - we could only get about 5 ounces of fairly weak coffee, and we like large cups. Well, one day, after moving the machine, and playing with the buttons, we started to get 8+ ounces, and the coffee is good and strong. We just had a party, where everyone could choose from a selection of pods, and it was a big hit! I'm not sure I'd pay the full list price for this machine, although it is built like a tank and will probably last 10 times longer than the lightweights, but it was certainly a lucky day for me when I found this one!

These machines keep going haywire on me (leaking water from the bottom and top, brewing as soon as plugged in and won't turn off)...all I can say is customer service is good at sending new machines out. To bad the machines didn't work as good as their customer service.

Great Coffee, Questionable Design,

We bought one of these for steady home use (about 6 cups total a day, max). The coffee is always nice and hot and the brew settings (med, strong, etc.) work well.The problem with it is the design and where the controls are. No matter how careful you are, at some point coffee will spill from where the cup sits onto the controls. And try though you might, you'll never be able to dry it all up before it seeps into the various buttons. And, as you've probably figured out already, coffee and electronics don't mix. To be fair, we've had the unit about a year. In the last week, the brew indicator light (which cycles through various colors to let you know the status of the chamber) has been wonky. It flashes through all the colors as if it's having a seizure. It will tell me the water chamber needs water though it's completely filled. I think it's finally giving up the ghost, and I'll be calling Customer Service soon. FWIW, I've googled some other reviews and this issue has apparently cropped up before with long-term users of the GPOD. I'll likely check out the other types of one-at-a-time brewers soon, including some of the K Cup systems. To be clear, I really do like how it brews coffee but it needs to be redesigned to avoid this type of problem.
