Product Description

Product Description

When your digital camera needs support for unique photo shoots, an ordinary tripod might not be able to tackle the job. The Gripster is the lightest and most versatile camera tripod available today. Featuring over two dozen flexible leg joints that bend and rotate, the Gripster will firmly secure your compact digital camera to virtually any surface ? anywhere and everywhere! Gripster is the ideal camera accessory for photographers on the go. Throw it in your pocket or backpack and you'll be ready for your next adventure! While the Gripster serves all the functions of a traditional camera tripod - steadying your camera under low-light conditions, taking timed group shots, etc. - it is the only tripod malleable enough to provide you with the perfect shot while wrapped around a tree branch, hanging from a pole, or perched on a jagged rock. The possibilities are endless!

5.0 out of 5 stars Vidpro Gripster Mini Tripod for Digital Cameras, February 11, 2009
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Vidpro GP-10 - Tripod (Electronics)
You know, there's an awful lot of hype going on about these little critters . . . which one is best, which one works, etc! There are others out there, including the gorillapod, but for the most part, they're all the same!!! I did tons of research and read dozens of online reviews from customers before finally spending a few bucks and trying out this one. First, and most importantly, spend a couple extra bucks and buy from a quality manufacturer, because if you don't, you DO get what you pay for. The other ones aren't worth much! That's all you need! This Vidpro Gripster model is identical to the gorillapod, and is significantly less expensive. It works great, its sturdy, stable, and holds a lightweight digital camera without ANY problems! It has a quick-release head that allows easy access for mounting and detaching the camera, and the construction is virtually indestructible heavy plastic and rubber parts. It does exactly what it says it does, and can hold onto most all surfaces with a little manipulation and patience. It DOES hold well to doorknobs, tree branches, table tops or table edges, the back of a chair, and can sit on very uneven surfaces such as large rocks on the edge of a lake. As long as you balance the camera on the tripod evenly, which can take a few seconds, you CAN get some great angles and shots when using this tripod over all other traditional mini-tripods.

I, for one, am really enjoying this little "monkey," and its also fun to just play with. Its kind of like a lego toy, but with more versatility and conventional functionality and use for digital cameras. You never have to be left out of family photos again!!! I highly recommend this little Gripster Tripod! Its a good buy, and a great little item. Unless you're a professional photographer that needs a larger tripod stand, you'll never need another tripod than this one!! It really does go everywhere!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars wrapped around my finger., October 10, 2008
This review is from: Vidpro GP-10 - Tripod (Electronics)
I didn't get this for a camera, but for a digital recorder. I can wrap it around a door knob or a chair backing or a rail on a shelf, or just set it on a table. handy little device.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good, September 13, 2009

This review is from: Vidpro GP-10 - Tripod (Electronics)
This tripod grips to pretty much anything! Its such a fun new toy! I took so many picture with it last night and they all came out very well! It's small, but that's also good because it's easier to grip it to things. It was also very cheap! I'm satisfied! I just hope it doesn't break anytime soon, it seems a bit fragile. Nothing has happened at all so far tho!
