Gris Grimly, during his childhood in the Midwest, and like so many other children, was drawn to the exciting and scary world of monsters. He admired the works of Ralph Steadman, Edward Gorey, Egon Schiele and the darker works of Dr. Seuss and Jim Henson. He lives in LA.

Someone at work told me about Gris Grimly's books. My two adult daughters 33 & 45 years old are so in to Halloween and love to also draw, so I ordered a bunch of them for Christmas last year. THEY WERE A HIT, and the illustrations are so wonderful - what a treat they are!

I purchased this book along with several others along the same vane for my Grand Daughters. age 2 and 4 to eventually enjoy as I know they will. I am their Gran Pa and are really looking forward to reading it to them when they are old enough. Great illustrations which go great with a twist of the tale....

Now this is a collection of nursery rhymes I can raise my grand children on!
Oh sure, the liberals and other 'tug-of-peace' (tug-of-war) freaks won't like it and will most likely try to ban it - That's why I LIKE it!!
