5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic Late Night Chill Rock
At the end of a great night...this is what you want to hear. Dark, brooding not-goth. Nick Cave meets Mazzy Star. If you do love it as I do... seek out new Savoy album in 2004, which is produced by Madrugada leader Frode... sure to be a treat! MMMmmm...tasty!

2.0 out of 5 stars Their worst album till now - 2,5 stars
What happened here? Where is the passion and the good atmosphere that was in their previous 2 albums? This is by far worst than anything thay have done so far. I cant find a song to like and all songs are below average with exceptions that are just average. Only for Madrugada collectors

1.0 out of 5 stars Mostly cacophonic noise, January 28, 2011

The title of this CD has more to do with the coarseness of the band's sound than anything else I can imagine. It ranges from 12 grit - Ouch! little more than irritating noise - to maybe 60 grit - just enough to tease you into believing there is something special to this band if they can just pull it together for a complete set of tracks (they ARE and HAVE - elsewhere). This may be the worst Madrugada CD available. I can appreciate only maybe 3 1/2 tracks, and one being Majesty, is tiring and forgettable after hearing the transcendant live version from the Tralfamadore session. Buy The Deep End, and Industrial Silence, or if you can stand the cost, the Tralfamadore CD. Don't waste your time or money on this one. If you can't play the CD through without quickly jumping over tracks to save yourself the pain, you aren't missing much.

from the first notes, you are drawn in, held close, a voice whispering in your ear...magic.
