The simple chain-and-pulley gearing system is highly efficient, allowing very little hand pressure to lift a heavy weight. Can be used in remote locations where power may not be available. Heavy-duty forged hooks with lock tabs insure the load stay on the hook. Self-adjusting brake mechanism holds the load in place between pulls of the chain. I just want to say "very fast shipping on my new chain hoist"! I haven't used the hoist as of yet, will add to this review when I do but I just had to get in here and give Grizzly a 5 star on shipping, I didn't expect this shipment until the end of the week and here it is at my front door on Tuesday! I will defiantly buy from them again. Like I say I will get back with another review after I hang the chain hoist and use it.
I am back now that I have hung my new chain Hoist. I simply love it, it works as advertised. I lifted about 350 pounds with it stopping ever so often to see if the brake worked and it worked just fine. It was easy going up & easy going down, after putting up with a come-a-long for almost 5 year's this is like going from a Model T to a brand new Cadillac! I would say if you need a light duty chain hoist--you can't go wrong with this one!

This Chainfall works great and I use it when I work on tractors and other lawn equipment. It is out in the open all the time I sprayed a good lube on the chain. I purchased this from Amazon.
