5.0 out of 5 stars nice reamer, not too bad
I primarily bore/enlarge thin sheets of aluminum with this, so have no experience with how long it lasts with harder materials. So far, the edges have held up after boring numerous holes.

I couldn't believe how cheap this thing was in terms of price (bought it off Amazon, or one of Amazon's partners).

2.0 out of 5 stars soft materials only
This is not a usable tool except on wood or plastic. The steel is so soft it will not ream even the very mildest iron. Learned my lesson not to try to be so cheap.

I went to Sears to buy a tapered reamer after seeing it as available at my local Sears, through Sear's .com site (live inventory). Spent 15 minutes driving down to the local Sears only to have a bunch of inexperienced sales people asking me "what's a tapered reamer?" *sigh*

What was worse was that the sales people (yes, more then one was now involved) at the local Sears are now starting to question why one would need a tool such as a "tapered reamer."

Needless to say, found this thing for cheap on Amazon for much cheaper, kinda glad I didn't get to buy it at Sears, otherwise would've never found this deal...

Great reamer, no complaints. It's a very solid reamer with a nice weight to it.I purchased this reamer for enlarging the pot holes on my ibanez prestige, changed the original pots to the YJM from seymour, was really easy no problems.

5.0 out of 5 stars taper reamer - great little gadget, January 23, 2011

Bought this for my husband. He is a piper, that is a bagpiper, and he wanted this to ream out something on the pipes. He said it worked just as he needed and that it was a great little gadget.
His mission accomplished and he was happy with the reamer.

5.0 out of 5 stars Quite pleased, December 7, 2010

I'm very happy with this purchase. It's great for routing out holes quickly and I've already used it in several projects. The horizontal bar used as a handle slides out easily and I wish it was a bit more snug, but that doesn't negate the tool's use. If lost, I would purchase again immediately.

Of my three tapered reamers, this one is the shiniest. I use it when I'm trying to impress someone with my reamer.
