The polished stainless steel makes it incredibly easy to clean; pretty much a rinse under hot water will clean it. It came with only fine grinding plate, and an email to the manufacturer revealed that they do not offer a coarse plate, not even as an accessory. So I had to find a coarse plate on my own on the net. I found a stainless steel one for $18, which is nearly half the price of this grinder. The overall quality of the grinder isn't so great; the thread for the retaining ring had burr that made it impossible to hand-tighten the ring, it also cut my hand up. I had to use a wire brush to remedy the issue. Lastly, be careful handling the parts (while assembling them) as they're heavy duty, so if you drop it on ceramic tiles or even stone countertop, you could end up cracking or chipping the tile/stone.

Wonderful meat grinder, it's shiny, sexy curves, turns smoothly, pieces assemble and disassemble easily, not too hard to clean. What else could you ask for? I guess if I could get it to exude ground meat without putting any meat in, it would be even better, but I have not seen a model like that on the market yet.
