Do your self a favor when your looking at 1 ton hoists.Order this 1 1/2 ton Grizzly
The extra $20 you'll spend is worth every penny.
It comes through with a 10 foot lift chain.The cheaper hoist have 8 foot chains and are big trouble in some lifting scenarios where you need more lift room.
Also this hoist comes throuigh with a manual and a parts list.
I have many years of experienec with hoists and for the money this is a good lift.
Grizzly is a really good company.

I used to use a roll around hydraulic jack to lift the front of my riding lawnmower to change blades, but wanted to lift it higher so I wouldn't have to roll around on the floor.
Now I can sit on a stool instead of lying on the floor and can clean the underside of the mower deck with a power washer instead of prying off chunks of hard packed grass with screwdrivers and paint scrapers.

My only disappointment has nothing to do with either the product or vendor. Being a retired Engineer, I bought a higher capacity chain hoist than I actually needed.
This is a full sized chain hoist that weighs 33 pounds and was quite a handful for an old guy like me to install.
The 1/2 ton model (G8703) probably would have been a better choice for my application.
