Our go-to alternative for travel,
By
This review is from: GroVia Bio Soaker Pads 50-Count, White, Size 2 (Baby Product)
We use the Gro Baby Bio Soakers when we travel. Unfortunately, when we travel we often don't stay at a place with a washer or dryer, which makes it difficult to use our Gro Baby inserts. These Bio Soakers are perfect for us. They allow us to still use our Gro Baby shells (yippee! no blow outs!) when we are overseas. The boxes of Bio Soakers are no bigger than a box of disposable diapers, they absorb wonderfully, and they are trim on our daughter. The only "cons" I can think of is their price--they are slightly more expensive than disposables and the sticky tab leaves residue on the shells. I've heard that the Natural Baby Company is remedying the sticky tab problem and a new version will be out in February! Thanks for listening to your customer feedback Natural Baby Company!

Very nice alternative!,

I use cloth diapers 100% of the time on my 17-month-old daughter, but I received a box of these disposable inserts for my GroBaby shells and had to try them out. I love that they have much less SAP gel, they are biodegradable and compostable, and they have not caused any irritation on my daughter's sensitive skin. We put these to the test during the day and at night. I was impressed that the insert held a lot overnight, yet the shell beneath the insert remained dry. I also love the fact that these are so compact. They are a wonderful alternative to regular disposable diapers, and perhaps a good option for those who are using disposables at night and having leakage problems. When used with the GroBaby shell, these inserts are leakproof!

I use these inserts every time I travel. They work great witht he gro baby shell and only leak when I don't insert them into the diaper properly...
They wick moisture away from my baby's skin and they are breathable and they aren't bulky. Love the cloth better but these work great whenever needed.

Great alternative to traditional cloth diapers!,
This review is from: Gro Baby Bio Soaker Pads 50-Count, White (Baby Product)
I cloth diaper both of my children (ages 2 and 7 months) and there are occasions that I need to use a disposable diaper. I found these while on a search for a more eco-friendly alternative to disposables. These biosoakers are super trim and VERY absorbent! I'm able to use these overnight with both of my kids without any leaks! They fit perfectly in a Gro Baby shell but work well in any other cloth diaper cover you may have on hand. They did not get 5 stars because the adhesive that holds the pad in place sometimes leaves gooey residue behind. Overall, awesome product.

Too much trouble,

The biosoakers are made of renewable resources and can be composted or flushed. I live in an apartment and do not have the ability to compost, so I tried flushing - but it was hard to tear open the pad without the inside stuff flying all over the place. So I ended up throwing it away. I still felt it was better than disposables because it is chlorine-free and plastic free - and it kept my baby's skin dry. But then I ran into another problem - the biofilm tears easily when wet. This is the reason I will not be using it anymore. I have pieces of sticky biofilm in all my shells, particularly on the buttons (where the cotton soakers attach); and the sticky stuff is difficult to remove. I have tried using the biosoaker without removing the tabs, but then I had the biggest leak all over her clothes and bed. Needless to say, I find it inconvenient to use when I'm out. Trying to remove and replace a biosoaker without ripping it (while the baby is squirming and possibly falling off the changing table) is just too much trouble.

They have been amazing for overnight you just put them in and trash them in the morning or when your little one wakes up they are also great for when at the zoo or going on long trips to see family and friends

Biosoakers rock!,
This review is from: Gro Baby Bio Soaker Pads 50-Count, White (Baby Product)
I love the gro baby bio soakers! I have used both size 1 and size 2. I took the bio soakers with us on a 10 day trip to Disney World, and they worked fantastic! No leaks, no issues over night, and when I couldn't always change them every couple hours, they held up! I opted to not stick them to the gro baby cover beacuse the adhesive tended to stick and peel off on to the cover. As long as you ensured the insert was spread out so the leg gussets were outside the cover, I never had a problem. Thanks Gro Baby!

Great disposable option for cloth diapering parents,

The GroBaby bio soaker pads are designed to fit in the GroBaby shell & actually do a better job of keeping poop off the cover than the original organic inserts. I have also used these disposable inserts in other waterproof diaper covers with great success. The insert sticks to the diaper cover similar to the way a sanitary pad is used. When baby needs to be changed, you simply through away this insert & put another one in your cover, only needing to change the cover if it gets soiled. The insert doesn't have any plastic to it, so it doesn't make baby's bottom HOT like a conventional disposable, but it does have a waterproof barrier that keeps moisture from leaking out. I use these for all day shopping trips, trips to the zoo, overnight trips etc....anytime I don't want to have to worry about bring home a diaper bag full of wet & dirty diapers.

I rec'd three boxes of these with some gro baby diaper shells I ordered. These are truly amazing. No leaks, better for the environment and very easy to use make this a great product. Our son has had absolutely no problems with irritation using these diapers. It makes using cloth diapers on the go a much easier process.

sticky sticky,
This review is from: Gro Baby Bio Soaker Pads 50-Count, White (Baby Product)
I love grobaby diapers.... while traveling this holiday season i tried out the biodegradable inserts & was impressed by the absorbency, but not too thrilled by the sticky left behind on my shells.... any ideas on how to prevent this? will the new ones coming out in january 2010 be less sticky... or at least leave no residue? i will be a convert from gdiapers to grobaby in a heartbeat if so!!! grobaby please hear me----de-stick those inserts & i'm all yours. your colors, waterproof shells, & cuteness are too hard to resist!
