5.0 out of 5 stars Three wipe showdown! July 25, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase
We purchased the Grovia, Charlie Banana and Babykicks Cloth wipes for use in our Prince Lionheart Premium Antibacterial Wipe Warmer. Our baby is currently 10 weeks old. We use tap water on our wipes. No "wipe solutions" of any kind. We have not had any problems with diaper rash since we moved to cloth diapers and wipes 5 weeks ago. Hands down, our favorite are the Grovia wipes. Here is the breakdown:

Charlie Banana: Our least favorite of the bunch. When we bought these, the price was $17.99 for 20 organic cotton wipes. This seemed like a great value for 20 wipes! However, the cloth is a thin jersey type cotton (like thin tee-shirt material). The weave on these wipes actually repels liquids. With the other wipes, I just wet the stack under the tap and then load the stack into the wipe warmer. These wipes will not absorb water this way. I have to load the dry wipes in the warmer and then fill the warmer with water and they very slowly absorb the water over a few hours. It is a pain. Secondly, the cloth sticks to itself when wet. They are folded in half to fit in the warmer and pulling one out of the warmer and unfolding it requires two hands or a strong one-handed flick which sprays water droplets around the bathroom. Both of which are annoying when holding a squirming baby on the changing pad. Because the material is so thin, it does not hold heat from the warmer for very long, though it is usually adequate. Lastly, the material does not grab goo as well as the other two and we use more wipes per diaper change. The Grovia and babykicks usually get the job done with one wipe.

Babykicks: Our mid-favorite. The material is the same material we think of found in cotton sweatpants; flannel texture on one side and a jersey knit texture on the other side.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great (multi-purpose) baby wipes! April 1, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase
I absolutely love these cloth wipes! They are super soft and the perfect size. I have also purchased BabyKicks wipes and they are not nearly as good as these GroVia wipes.

My baby is very prone to diaper rashes so I purchased some BabyKicks wipes, but they are a little small and a little rough on one side. I recently purchased the GroVia wipes, which I use with just hot water (they are cool enough for baby by the time I get to the changer and get the diaper off)...and her super stubborn rash is almost gone! After I use a wet wipe I also use a dry wipe to remove any moisture and I like to use California Baby diaper rash cream (calming) during the day and Burt's Bees diaper cream at night. This has worked really well for my baby when simply using medicine and normal wipes were not clearing up her rash. I have bought 2 packs of 12 and plan on buying another 2 b/c they are great to use as washcloths for bath time, wiping her hands and face after eating, and I love to use them when her nose is sore (from colds) instead of tissues.

1.0 out of 5 stars Misleading February 27, 2012
By Maximka

Amazon only recently added the contents of these wipes "88% Polyester and 12% cotton" to the product features. When I purchased them, i relied on the product title and the sellers description "Made of 100 cotton ultra soft baby terry" in assuming that these were indeed made out of cotton. These are cheap Polyester wipes that are not labeled correctly/honestly. Needless to say, we promptly returned them and bought Satsuma Designs Organic Wash Cloths and Wipes 5 Pack, White, which are great.

2.0 out of 5 stars All ready falling apart August 5, 2011
By DMZ
I bought these wipes because I really like my organic cotton Grovia Diapers. I am not, however, impressed with these wipes. I have had them for less than a month and they are all ready falling apart. In addition, they are a little bit too thick and bulky. They take up too much space in the wipes warmer. I much prefer the Imse Vimse organic wipes which are much less bulky and not coming unraveled. The Grovia take up as much space as 3 or 4 of the Imse Vimse's. I usually only need 1 Grovia per diaper change--same as the Imse Vimse.

1.0 out of 5 stars Not 100% cotton March 14, 2011

I bought these thinking they were 100% cotton (as advertised).
The packaging says that they are 88% Polyester and 12% Cotton. They feel soft and look well made, but beware if you're looking for 100% cotton.

2.0 out of 5 stars Laundry Nightmare! March 4, 2012
These wipes are ultra soft and perfect for my baby's skin. They absorb well, so they stay moist in my wipe warmer, a plus for any cloth wipes. However, I no longer use these wipes because they make laundry - which should be a simple task - a complete hassle! They are seamed 3 times along the outer edges, and in every wash the seems come apart, leaving strings hanging loose in my dryer. The first few washes it wasn't a problem, and I just cut off the loose thread after they dried. But now in every wash, the threads become wrapped around inserts and diaper liners to the point where I end up with a huge tangled mess that I have to cut apart before I can put anything in the dryer. If it was one wipe I would think it was just a mistake, but the seams on every single wipe have unthreaded in the washer and caused this nightmare. It's pretty ridiculous to pay so much for wipes that are so cheaply manufactured that they fall apart after only a few washes.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fanstastic soft cloths July 18, 2012
Amazon Verified Purchase
These cloth wipes are just wonderfully soft. My son couldn't tolerate commercial wipes when he was a newborn, so I ordered a few different kinds of cloth wipes. These were the BEST! They are so soft, thick, but not too thick, and hold up very nicely. We only used cloth wipes for the first couple months, so they did fine with newborn poop. I'm guessing if you used them for older babies and toddler, perhaps the white color wouldn't be the best, but it worked fine for my purposes.

They are still so soft and my favorite washclothes now. We use them at bath time now, or to clean faces in the morning after waking up. They were also perfect for using cold compresses when my son had pink eye -- soft but cleaned very well. If I used cloth consistently, I'd certainly use these exclusively.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great wipes, but expensive
These wipes are still going strong after probably hundreds of washes. But they are expensive to purchase. They do a great job of "grabbing" dirty messes.
