I am a mom of 7, daycare provider and nurse. I have tried many kinds of cloth diapers the last couple of years, including AIO's, AI2's, pocket, hybrid, etc. I have reviewed a few other cloth diapers, if you would like to see my take on some other brands.

I actually got my Grovia's from diaperswapper's. A mama there bought 8 of them, and discovered she hated snaps and wanted a velcro option. Grovia wasn't my first choice to round out my diaper collection, but for the price she gave me, I didn't care whether or not these would end up my favorites.

I felt the Grovia was a little awkward at first. The direction the flaps/snaps go in felt backwards to me and my husband. I wasn't sure I like the snap in doubler. I got "used" to the diaper, tho, and found myself using them equally with my Kissaluvs.

Eventually, I found myself reaching for the Grovia's first, and only using my other brands of AIO's as backup when I run out of Grovia's. HERE'S WHY:

-They have always caught EVERY mess. Not once has my daughters poo got on her clothes.
- They are very trim. I can get them snug enough on her chubby legs to be leak-proof without cutting into her skin. They are designed to fit slim babies as well.
- I can vary the absorbency by using the snap in liner.
- The cotton is absorbent and reasonably soft...and STAYS the same, wash after wash. What you start off with is what you end up with. Many other diapers start off really super soft and end up with piling and increased scratchiness.
- Easy odor control. If you read my review of Kissaluvs, you will see that I like them alot. However, they build up odors over time, and have to be "stripped".

I had some Amazon gift cards saved up and thought I would go out on a limb and try out the Grovia system, after hearing my SIL rave about it. I ordered one shell with 2 washable inserts, along with the disposable inserts. Here's what I found:

The shell is great. I love it with prefolds and some less bulky fitteds. Never a leak, and very cute.
I tried the washable inserts and the disposable inserts, with my 1 month old baby. This just doesn't work with newborn poo. A normal poo goes beyond the boudaries of both of these inserts, and I had to wash the cover every single time. Not worth it. Now, if I had an older baby with formed poo, I think I'd really like this sytem. That's the case for my SIL.

Another thing is that the insert stained horribly after 1 use, with breastfed baby poo. All other prefolds, inserts that I own haven't stained that badly with a month of use. I did finally get the stain out with several sunnings.

The jury is out. I love the concept, but it didn't work for us . . . yet. I'll stick with my BG pocket diapers for now and maybe give this another try when my baby is a little older.

I just finished reading reviews, and I am one who is still using the old version of GroBaby diapers. I have been using them for 16 months and still love them. They are holding up so nicely. There is not one part of any of them that is falling apart. I never have odor issues (I use rocking green detergent - which I recommend). My son will be two in August and I have worried about the size. They for the most part are one size, but I don't know many cloth diapers that fit newborns. However I can see a larger child outgrowing these before potty training. Maybe they will continue to fit, they have fit my son longer so far than I thought they would (a girl I think will be different because it was the top of the diaper that was barely covering his pee-pee, but I don't ever have leakage problems during the day)
I own three types of cloth diapers, Gro-baby, Bum Genius, and g-Diaper. I love them all for different reasons, but after 16 months of cloth diapering, on a daily basis, I grab Gro-Baby for day and bum-genius for night with two soak pads. My g-Diapers hardly get used.
I am now expecting another baby in January so decided to look at more Gro-Baby diapers, and see they are now GroVia, and I'm totally excited to stock up on some new cute snap prints. I have a blog and totally recommend these diapers on my blog.
There easy to use, easy to rinse, easy to wash and dry, easy to assemble. I love that you have the option of disposable inserts (though I don't recommend applying the sticky part to the snap. I apply it to the netting of the inside of the diaper and it doesn't gum up the snap, but maybe they have changed that too) I just grab one shell and two inserts tucked in my purse for any outing and I'm pretty much good for a day. No need to carry a big bag full of huge fluffy diapers.

In addition to this diaper cover, I have tried Thirsties duo wrap snap, Blueberry coveralls snap, and Rumparooz one size cover snap, all with prefolds. I definitely like this one the best! I've had problems with the thirsties leaking moisture, it seems to travel through the white lining at the edges. I don't have this same problem with the Blueberry or Rumparooz, but I don't like how bulky they are. (They are bigger than the Thirsties, since they are one-size covers and I have the smaller Thirsties size). This Grovia cover doesn't leak, is really soft, and fits very well on my 2 month old, even though it's a one-size cover. It's really different than the other 3 brands, because it doesn't have the inner leg gussets, and the inside is a soft net fabric instead of the plasticky feel. I would definitely recommend this as a cover to use with prefolds - I plan to buy more.
