If we had known this before we bought the diapers, we would have gone with another brand.

In turn, the baby's clothes (and your pants if the baby is sitting in your lap) also get wet near the leg holes.

I've only used them about three times, but they've leaked every time within about a half hour.

I bought two of these before my baby girl was born and prepped them thoroughly (5+ washes). I've only used them about three times, but they've leaked every time within about a half hour. Waste.

When I was pregnant I was all for huggies and jar baby food and was a great couponer, until I met a mom who cloth diapered. She introduced them to me and when I went to the store, I fell in love...with the IDEA. The price in general is steep, but in the long run you do save a lot of money. I am now a mom who cloth diapers as well as makes all of my son's baby food, something I never thought I'd say. I chose Grovia because the system seemed SOO much easier than those stupid pocket diapers. Also, my father and husband wouldn't have done so well with the five piece diapers.

The newborn diapers' design has MAJOR flaws!!! I ended up just buying disposable newborn diapers for my son, ESPECIALLY at night. I would put him into a diaper and he would leak out the leg within ten minutes. I tried all size settings, turned his leg blue a couple of times because I was trying to get the right fit. Thank god he was a summer baby and was always in a diaper and t-shirt. People suggested adding an insert, but since he was a newborn it was just too bulky for him. My thinking to why he leaked so much was because he had the skinniest little froggy legs, so that could be something to think about with your LO.

With time I grew to like these, especially as my son grew out of the newborns and into the shells/snap inserts. For a long time he would still leak out at night, making me use disposables which I didn't mind, but now I am trying something new. I have addeed inserts to his grovia diapers and have also invested in bumgenius (a GREAT nighttime diaper!

These diapers are supposed to fit "most newborns 5-12 lbs." I tried these on my 9+ lb. baby and they seem almost too small--I don't see how they could last to 12 lbs (She is pretty lean, too). Also, I am breastfeeding my newborn so her poop is very liquidy and these diapers cannot contain it. I regret buying two of these diapers.

These are the only cloth diapers I've tried that I've disliked. I was excited initially because they were the only ones in my stash that fit my son when he was first born (~7lb), but he had grown out of them by 9lbs. These diapers leaked like crazy, the soaker flap was annoying to rinse poop off of, and the diapers took several cycles to dry. After this experience, I returned my unused larger-sized AIOs and stuck to pockets and prefolds with liners.

These style diapers leak. It's to bad because they are super cute, but there is no use of having them if you can't use tgem.

I bought about 20 of these newborn diapers in both the organic cotton and microfiber. They were used and prepped when I got them but I stripped them and washed them countless times with other diapers before my son was even born. At birth, he weighed 6 lbs 13 oz and we started using these diapers when he was about a week old. They have wicked onto his clothes every single time we've used them. Like many other reviewers have said, in hindsight, the design lends itself to wicking as the absorbent fabric goes right up to the edge of the leg gusset. My son does seem to be a heavy wetter but I would expect these diapers to be able to handle that, especially for the price. I change him very frequently so I'm not even expecting them to contain messes for very long. I've never tried them at night because of how they've worked for me during the day. There is no way they would last even the 3 hour stretches at night. I luckily had a few fitteds and covers and those have worked just fine since none of the absorbent material touches his clothes. I also have a ton of AI2 in the one size from Grovia and am really hoping that those work out better than these have!

I'll admit these were my first GroVia diapers and I normally don't use AIOs. I bought these when I was pregnant with my second son because I wanted to use cloth diapers right away this time around. I thought I hit the jackpot when I found these on sale. They were so cute and I had heard great things about GroVia. I purchased 4 and they were at the top of my stash to use. Cut to 2 weeks after my son is born and I start cloth diapering and indeed these were the first diapers on his little bum. Well every one of them leaked, each time. I was baffled. I prepped according to the directions, I had the rise right, these were not cheap diapers so what is going on? I went online and searched and sure enough found a lot of reviews saying the same thing. These diapers leak like crazy! I'm not exaggerating when I say they leaked every time, it was literally every time! And I'm not talking about after being on for 2 hours or more. No seriously most of the time my son's clothes would be soaked after 30-45 minutes of the diaper being on. It's like liquid goes right through them. I gave up after 2 weeks of trying them. Unfortunately the only good things I can say about these diapers are that they are as cute as they look, if only they worked, they would be great! I've heard and read nothing but good things about the OS GroVia AIOs btw. I think GroVia just needs to go back to the drawing board with their newborn diapers though.
