5.0 out of 5 stars Funky, Smooth & Sexy!
Fantastic beats with close your eyes and escape smooth grooves. And the sound quality is remarkable. Track 7 is my favorite. Buy this disc and be Groovified!

2.0 out of 5 stars not that groovy
I was not very impressed with this CD, I love jazz but this one did not have any grooveology to me. I can put this one down and pass it by in my collection with no desire to listen to it, only if I just need to hear something different.

From the first words on this recording: "For as long as I can remember, I've had these grooves in my head..." spoken by The Groovematist himself, aka Mechial E. White, Jr., internationally renown DJ, producer and musician. His sparkling debut solo release GROOVEOLOGY welcomes you to the"Groove Experience" with an instrumental potpourri he calls "Urban Chill" featuring nu jazz, R&B, ambient rhythm and chill-dance vibes, showcasing distinguished guests and fellow Michigan musicians John E. Lawrence on guitar and Rick Roe on piano. GROOVEOLOGY is really a thematic collection of original music, much of it tracked from one song to another, which works beautifully as a total listening experience... a totally satisfying listen... with sensual tracks like "Brooklyn Queen," "Passion Storm," and "Ponder," together with the exotic, reggae-themed "WomanLoverFriend" and hauntingly memorable "Dream Pod." GROOVEOLOGY is a hip, sophisticated, sensual and relaxing soundtrack. ~SCOTT O'BRIEN
