About the Author

Laurie Barker Copeland is a humorous storyteller, writer, actress, and speaker who uses her God-given abilities in full-time ministry to women nationwide. She earned a degree in Communications and Theater from Geneva College. Laurie and her husband and daughter live in Orlando, Florida.
Dena Dyer is a married mother of two, who speaks and writes from her home in Granbury, Texas, encouraging busy women to draw close to God and experience his approval and grace. She graduated from Baylor University and has experience as a professional actress and singer.

Reading this book was like hanging out with a room full of friends swapping secrets. The theme of love gently weaves the stories together, with an emphasis on how faith can pull us through no matter what.

I recognized many well-known writers, including Shannon Woodward, Karen O'Connor, Mary DeMuth -- and of course stories from the authors Dena Dyer and Laurie Barker Copeland. Each writer who contributed to this book shared memories rich in warmth and wisdom.

Scriptures, quotes, movie recommendations, and tips for groovy road trips are an added plus, making this a fun girlfriend gift book, sure to lift the spirits of anyone on your gift list.

I got my copy of GCRTL and put it with my purse so I'd have something to read when those inevitable "waiting" times creep up in my day. Well, a doctor's visit a few days later gave me my first opportunity. I have to say, my wait wasn't nearly long enough. From the first touching story I read about a single woman's struggle with that hated holiday, Valentines Day, to the heartwarming letter from a needing-to-let-go Mom to her teenage daughter, I was captivated. If you are looking for a book to keep you occupied in those waiting lines of life, or a great pick-me-up gift for a friend, this book says, "I love you" in all the right ways.

I found this book to be heartwarming and encouraging, an uplifting and encouraging compilation of inspiring stories I could relate to easily. Tama Westman's story about the endearing rock was especially heartwarming and a kind and gentle reminder of the wonders around us. A compelling read for all the frenzied travelers on the road of life--a great reminder to have faith and just breathe!
