I had to get this one for my 6 y/o daughter because her name is Maddie also. She is very into mermaids and she likes the fact that she can take the tail off and the doll has legs and feet, although the feet are quite a bit smaller than the regular GG's feet, so that they are able to fit inside the tail. She has many GG's and this quickly became one of her favorites.

Who knew this little mermaid would make such a hit? For that matter, who knew the tail came off to show FEET? She was an instant hit with the 4-year-old for whom she was a Christmas gift and was played with for the rest of the day and taken to bed.

i go these for my 4 yr old niece last Christmas she adores mermaids and i think these were the best bet i found in amazon. Reasonably priced plus it has a tail dressing that can change from human to mermaid form makes it playability value even higher.
