I promised my daughters, age 9 and 5, that I would replace their Barbie dolls with Groovy Girls when they fell apart. Even my two year old daughter plays with them. My nine year old picked his one to replace her Barbie Erica (from Princess in the Pauper). She loved her and she and her younger sister play with them frequently. She is the age now where she likes American girl dolls but I know too many girls who don't take care of them and are afraid to play with them, especially when they are so expensive. However, my daughter is beginning to learn to sew and we are going to make additional outfits for these Groovy girls. I know they will last (probably even for grandkids one day) and she isn't afraid to play with them for fear of messing them up. I also don't have to worry about seeing naked Barbies laying around anymore. And we are buying less plastic toys. Groovy Girls are a win-win in this house. I highly recommend them.

Great gift idea for a 4 year old. Nice princess dress, soft doll. My girls have loved these since they were about 3 and the 6 year old is still playing with hers all the time.

This is a nice quality groovy girls doll. Holding its own as my daughter drags it around the house and is continually zipping it into the groovy girls sleeping bag.

I bought this for my 2 1/2 year old for Christmas, as she asked for a princess doll, but I didn't want to go the typical "Disney princess" barbie doll lookalike route. When this arrived, I was very disapointed in how small it was, as I was expecting typical "baby doll" size, maybe 15 inches or so. This is just a little bigger than a barbie. She'll still like it, as it does have the pretty princess dress, but it probably won't be that "loved on" doll like I'd hoped. I would not have paid as much as I did for this had I known how small it actually was. This will merely be a stocking stuffer instead of a "main" gift like I'd hoped.

Inexpensive toys bought for 2 little girls- 4 1/2 and 2 1/2- to hold on a long trip. Very hugable and the children could fall asleep with them without being jabbed or poked. The dolls arrived in perfect condition, and at the end of 8 days, they still looked brand new. A big hit with the children.

I loved the doll and it's quality and durability. I was disappointed with the crown on her. I had to go in search of a prettier crown and replace what she had. I did not like the gray rubber looking crown. I noticed that other groovy girls dolls had real crowns on them and I think the Princess Arianna should have hers replaced. Other than the crown, I would recommend the doll. She is just precious. But please replace her crown.

This year's birthday party gift. It doesn't look like it cost $x amount when you receive it so if you're looking for a gift that looks like you spent $15 or $20, you might want to look elsewhere. It has been well received by all our recipents, who know the brand. It's a fun girl's doll.
