Real Las Vegas Fiction,
By VegasLover "Irv" (Las Vegas, Nevada) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Grope: A Fiction (Paperback)
Authors who understand the true significance of the oddest city in America are few and far between. Hunter S. Thompson took a good crack at it, but like many who are fascinated with Las Vegas, he packed up his typewriter and left. It would have been nice if he stayed around for the next thirty years and gave updates, but alas, his mind wandered away like so many stray bullets out of a madman's gun. Most Vegas writers focus on readable, but not engaging biographies or nonfiction overviews. So name a great Las Vegas fiction writer? I don't know if Dayvid Figler is great, but he sure is my favorite. This story is a gift that explains so much.
